Emiliana Sparroweyes
As a child, Emiliana Vela Cuevas was thoroughly unimpressed with her father's tempestuous comings and goings in her family’s life and took it upon herself to be “the responsible one”, someone her mother could count on. She was always praised for running errands for her family and others in town, and she bristled with pride whenever she was able to help someone out. When little Marcelina was born everything became even better as she watched the baby raptly, determined to be the best older sister ever.
Everything was just great until her baby brother learned to walk. If she looked away for even one second he would be gone from her watch and hanging off rafters or just about to fall off a table. It got even worse when he learned how to talk, because then he was able to get away with every misbehavior by playing cute. For all her love of order, Guiomar seemed to love the opposite. And so she spent her teenage years chasing after him, cleaning up his messes and apologizing with him to those he pranked.
It was around when Emiliana decided to join the town guard that Guiomar’s once innocent antics advanced to petty crimes.
