The Reaches

Beyond the western shores of Fehr’gia lies a collection of strange islands, known as The Reaches. As the first people of the mainland to discover the islands, the name used most widely by the halflings stuck, and The Reaches entered into the annals of history to be accepted by layfolk and scholars alike.

Morishima

Largest and farthest west of the islands, Morishima is a land of beautiful beaches and forests, and one of the most diverse places in all of Fehr'gia. From the cunning tabaxi to the peaceful loxodon, there is no shortage of perspectives and culture. From any of the beaches of beautiful white sand, one can see the many farms and small port towns bordering the forests of seemingly ever-blooming cherry trees. Beyond the trees, plains lead to short mountains that stand proud against the skyline. While the landscape is beautiful, it is brimming with energies that draw all forms of spirits both honorable and mischievous. Its inhabitants often have become familiar with these spirits, and live amongst them peacefully.

Yamasora

The easternmost island of the reaches, and closest to the mainland. The kenku and the aarakocran inhabitants navigate the island's rocky mountain ranges and mesas. The High Shogunate rests on the plateaus of Yamasora, where the airborne elites rule over the rest of The Reaches. Being so close to the rest of Fehr'gia, its ports and embassies serve as the jump-off point for adventurers to explore the rest of the many islands.

Minamishiwa

South of the rest of the massive archipelago, Minamishiwa is a dark island laden with murky swamps and dense forests that serve as home for the tribes of the native grung and lizardfolk. The tribes do not abide or swear fealty to the shogunate, and often attack any trespassers on their land, and even nearby trading ships. The island itself is shrouded in evil and corrupting magics, which affects more than just its inhabitants. Within the waters horrors and monstrosities lie in wait for any poor soul to wade into the depths. The magics have the power to corrupt even the spirits that The Reaches are known for, corrupting them into the evil and vile Yokai.
