Aerial Superiority
In the formative years of the reaches, a vast multitude of races arose from spiritual energies. From the large diversity, some species had the advantage of swift movement in the water allowing them to travel between islands without the need for boats. Aarakocra however, had the advantage of flight. Not only did they have the superiority of moving between islands, but they were also able to use this advantage to easily and swiftly conquer and unite the majority of islands. While certain militias consist of every race from the reaches, the major military forces remain majorly populated by the winged elites.
Honor and Spiritualism
Of the many tenants that make up the game, they come down to a strict code upholding honor above all else. The strict code has translated into the culture of its people, creating a heavy traditionalist mindset in its people. This honor extends to the spirits of the land, who are venerated. This mutual bond has eventually led to the rise of shamans, those that commune with the spirits of the world and heed them in exchange for great power. Over time, the teachings of shamans spread out from the islands, and a seldom few individuals have learned the ways of the spirits and the world.
