The Easifan Tribes
Collaboration to Survive
The Easifa work together in order to survive, a sort of feudal cooperation forged out of necessity. Long ago, the countless separated tribes were united by the first Sun Queen, to combat a dark ancient force reoffered to in legend as 'the serpent'. While standing united, they remain individual, the cultures and history of each tribe kept whole. Usually, there is no major governing body over the Easifa, however, every few generations a matriarch shows worth and power beyond her standing. Should such an Easifa arises, they may choose to travel to each of the major clans and attempt to gain approval from their elders. Should they succeed, the tribes each send their representatives to Wa'hah where the Easifa is crowned Sun Queen.Power in Words
The Easifan people hold honor and value in the spoken word, believing the power and knowledge of history to be lost when transcribed into literature. Thus, lore keepers and storytellers have reverence to the people of the tribes. Those that practice and know the histories of the ancient tongues are treated almost as nobles, or high priests among the Easifa, and have similar diplomatic weight. It is often considered a great sin to assault historians, and murder of one is often one of the few grounds for total exile if not execution.
