Orc
Gallus's Greatest Failure
Once created by the god known as Gallus, intended to be a great mortal species to rule an uninhabited land. Made in his own image, and designed to conquer the land, the Orcs very quickly spread over the world and conquered their own empire. The empire, however, fell apart quickly due to its insatiable lust for more. Unable to sustain themselves, they tore each other apart over petty squabbles before the end of their first century. Ashamed, Gallus cast off his creations and sheltered himself from the ridicule of the other gods, leaving the Orcs to fend for themselves. Luckily, they managed to survive, despite being pushed back to the deadlands.
The Drums of War
When the god Gallus gave up on the orcs and shunned his creations, they were left without divine guidance in a cruel world, which caused their kingdoms to break up and shatter into barbaric tribes. This felt like a betrayal to many orcs, who resented their creator and would seek patronage elsewhere. Their inclination to war and resentment of the gods allowed the archdevil Buldorouth to ensnare many orcs in his vicious grasp. Many orcs and half orcs are gripped by the Drums of War, a blood curse that drives one to madness if they resist the siren call of combat. The scar left by Buldorouth was wrought deep your orc may or may not be affected by the Drums, which could have influenced their past.
