Charlie Hjalmiir
Queen of Circumstance
Charlie took the throne not out of a desire to rule, but out of necessity from the previous king, Veldrin Heldric. Her predecessor was a corrupt and cruel dwarf that quickly lost his mind after taking the crown. Her first orders as queen were to rebuild from the destruction left by Veldrin, and she quickly became a queen of the people. Initially wanting to quickly pass the crown back to a rightful ruler at first, she developed a passion for helping her fellow mountain folk. Under her leadership, a great deal of corruption had been purged out of the dwarven council and the streets of High Rock.
Royal Responsibility
Charlie became queen in the middle of her life and given the dwarven blood coursing through her veins she wasn't about to give up what she loved doing. Often shirking work or ending meetings early that she found trivial or dull, she would do everything in her power to continue her love of the forge. Some feel her use of the treasury to fuel the forge districts may have been a selfish decision, even if it resulted in a massive revival of the mountain kingdom economy. Her actions show that for a dwarf, she is still a child, and some feel her inexperience may lead to disaster down the line.
The Forgemaster
With her passion for creation, she personally spent countless gold on a personal project, a forge in the heart of her castle to put all others to shame. Hiring archmage and artificer alike, her project continues to this day. In the meantime, she trains with the greatest smiths of her age to improve her craft.
