Mount Molte
Mount Molten is a volcano discovered by dwarven miners when explorers travelled up the mountain to determine if a city could be built inside of it and if it had a lot of resources. The dwarves had not expected much but they were surprised to find a volcano, although this is not unusual as there are a few around the continent, what they did not expect is that it is a super volcano. The dwarves not only found the volcano but they found out it was rich with; copper, iron, platinum, and some adamantine, but that was not the strangest thing about the mountain. After the dwarves starting getting more dwarves for mining they started having a problem. In some places in the mines they could not get to as it was too hot but these places were even richer with ores, the heat had even caused a few fatalities. This was not a huge problem though as they found a few ways to fix it such as hiring those used to the heat and creating Vect. Once they got through the heat they found something very strange, steel, something that you is not made by nature, its made by mixing carbon in with the iron which has to be done man made, although in these points of the volcano it was hot enough for over time, or during eruptions for the iron to turn molten and then it would mix with carbon and then form steel once it cooled down again, there was also possible magic that had to do with it bit Farenguard currently doesn't know enough about magic to tell. After this was discovered, they decided to name it Mount Molten, because of the strange thing happening here. After the mining had begun the area surrounding the land become ash like due to recent eruptions. Now the land is baron with one singular dwarf mining outpost as the area near it is completely made up of ash.
Geography
Mount Molte is a active volcano set in the middle-east of Farenguard. The surrounding area is dangerous, mostly made of plains that suffer from the fog of ash. most creates dormant to the normal environment can not live there however more unknown creates have moved there.
Ecosystem
The vegetation around Molte is mostly dead, however a new plant Hellebore, a black, ashy plant that stands tall and looks to have thorns, survives within the surrounding area. Most creatures can not inhabite the area however the environment has brought its own to life; including the Ash Fiend, Red dragons, Scorch Spiders, and Bone Nagas. Additionally their is myth of the Lava worm coming up and instantly devouring people near the volcano and the Ancient Lava Dragon that lives inside Mount Molte waiting to be disturbed.
Climate
Mount Molte has an extremely hot climate, it reaches temperatures over 50*C and higher especially as you get closer to the volcano. The area experiences ash rain which is much like hail except its made of molten rocks, the area is also full of smog which makes it hard to breath, because of this the dwarves have invented masks of protection to combat it.
Natural Resources
Mount Molte is full of rich resources like copper, gold, silver, platinum and adamantine and more. However the volcano is also home to the only naturally made steel and in fact the best made steel that is mined directly from the volcano from Vect
History
During the Great Civil war two opposing commanders fought atop the volcano, Valen the Elven Thoron (Captain) and Talos who wielded a sword made of pure obsidian. The battle ended in Valens victory for he was very knowledgeable in magic and true speaking at the time, Valen had used his true speaking powers to throw Talos into the volcano earning him his victory after a hard fought battle that nearly killed him.
