Session 10
General Summary
03/29/1493
Session 9 Early in the morning, the party gathers to meet with Halia and pick up her runner (and their money). Jarvis Connely is waiting in the Exchange as the group meet with Halia. She lets them know that she expects Jarvis Connely to be delivered safely back to Phandalin. "By the way. I expect a little more courtesy shown to my gaurds." Heads bowed, the group agrees and departs for Conyberry. About 2 miles north of town, An unnatural darkness spreads across the road. A little girl can be heard singing in the distance. Moaning can be heard much closer. The zombies come out of the trees from the west. A female, nothing left of her below her rib cage, drags herself across the ground towards the horrified travelers. Thia readies her bow, but then instead, drops to all fours as her body transforms into a dire wolf. The party, defending themselves against the undead, 4 halflings charge toward them and attack without mercy. Balasar sees their mouths are sewn shut and their eyes scream with fear and agony. Recognizing that these people are not in control of their actions, he pins one to the ground and rips the threads from his mouth. It is of no use, all the poor soul can do is attack. Tears flow from tortured eyes and Balasar puts him out of his misery. As the group stand there, looking at the dead halflings, and pondering what had happened to them, Balasar grows even more concerned about the wooden doll and decides to visit Anna Smit. They find Anna outside her home hanging wet laundry on a line. Clara and she probably has the doll with her. Thia, the wolf, begins to stand on it's back 2 legs, as it transforms back into the druid, Thia. Terrified of the shapeshifter, Anna refuses to speak anymore to the strange bunch and begs them leave. The rest of the day is uneventful as the party makes their way to Conyberry. It is a 2 day trip so they decide to make camp about halfway and continue early the next morning.03/30/1493
They get on the road as early as daylight allows the following morning and are able to travel without interruption to drop Jarvis Connely in the ruins of the city. He tells them he'll be waiting for them tomorrow afternoon. Session 11Missions/Quests Completed
