Wyrmsbane Clan
The Wyrmsbane clan, known in dwarvish as the Drekabann Clan, is one of the four major clans of the Dûnhark Dwarves, and the current ruling family of the territory. Their name is derived from their ancestor Thraghed, who, according to legend, drove a horde of dragons from the mountain range so his people could settle safely. Leaders of the clan are typically chosen from his descendant line, including the current matriarch of the clan, Elreada Wyrmsbane, mother of Aludra Wyrmsbane.
There is great dispute between the Wyrmsbane clan and the Axe-Breaker clan about who truly settled the land first. While the Wyrmsbane's insist that it was Thraghed, The Axe-Breakers claim that his younger brother, Thisgrad, was responsible for the settlements while Thraghed was off chasing glory.
