Personal history
Elreada was born during the Great Famine of the Dûnhark, in the midst of one of the harshest winters the dwarves had seen in centuries. Her mother, Ghilla Wyrmsbane, was convinced she was infertile, and feared that her family lineage would die with her, being one of the last remaining Wyrmsbanes in the range. Alas, Elreada entered the world in a time of bitter hardship, and thrived.
The hardy dwarf woman set out on her Dòigh Fèin to prove her worth as an heir to the Wyrmsbane throne. Her travels took her to the frozen reaches of Wradia, where she helped a clan of giants slay a white dragon that had been plaguing them for decades. Just two years after she returned home, her mother, Ghilla, passed into the next life, leaving Elreada to take the mantle is the Wyrmsbane clan when she was only 26, still a child by dwarven standards.
She married her husband Silgotir Broadhood, and together had eighteen children.
She has a tense relationship with Skalmok Stonehand and the Axe-Breaker Clan. They have often accused her and her family of not being truly descended from her ancestor, Thraghed, and claim that their ancestor, Thisgrad, was the one who settled the Vlin Indu range and cultivated it for success among the Dûnhark. He notoriously accused Ghilla of the same, and did not hesitate to throw slander the moment Elreada took the throne.
