Horace - Lord of the Feywild

Horace, correctly called Horae, is the God of the Four Seasons and the Lord of the Feywild. Horace is the embodiment and personification of the Feywild, they are a chaotic and emotional deity, never settling as one thing, capricious in every aspect.   Horace is an enigma of a deity, they operate completely differently from the other deities, Horace is both a singular deity and four deities at the same time, each form reflecting one part of the Feywild and one of the Four Seasons, these alternative personas are named Eiar (Spring), Theros (Summer), Phthinoporon (Autumn), and Kheimon (Winter). Even Horace’s origin is a mystery, making many of the other gods wary of them.   Horace is also the only deity bound to a singular Plane, Horace can not leave the Feywild. Horace themself spends most of their time in the House of Horae at the centre of the Feywild, while their personas inhabit the other courts and seasons.   Horace is the primary consort of Demeter, with whom they have three divine children, Persephone, Mab and Titania. Horace gifted Demeter and their daughters each one of the four seasons.   Horace is worshipped all over the Feywild, interwoven in all aspects of life. But they aren’t worshipped outside of specific cults on Exorsia.   Domains: Chaos, Energy, the Feywild and the Seasons.   Symbols: The Almiraj, Dragonflies, Hawthorn Trees and the Trillium.

Apperance

Horace is usually depicted as a gargantuan hawthorn tree with an elderly, bearded, masculine face with curled horns that protrudes from its trunk.   Horace’s personas usually reflect one of the four seasons and take on a plant-like appearance, similar to a Dryad. Horace’s personas can appear as masculine, feminine or even androgynous.
  • Eiar takes on a light green colour, the colour of new leaves, and is adorned with moss.
  • Theros takes on a golden colour and is adorned with flowers.
  • Phthinoporon takes on a reddish-orange colour and is adorned with bark.
  • Kheimon takes on a bluish colour and is adorned with frost and snow.
