Hecate - God of Magic

Hecate is the Goddess of Magic and Witchcraft. She is a logic driven and mysterious deity, focused on maintaining the flow of magic throughout creation over the affairs of others.   Hecate is one of the Primordial deities, one of the first beings in existence. Hecate is the embodiment of magic and the personification of the Weave, the flow of magic that traverses through the universe.   Hecate is commonly worshipped by mages and magic practitioners, usually for guidance and advice concerning magic. She is also beseeched to ward off curses and other magical ailments.   In Hepsut, Hecate is more commonly known by the name Rhea and is solely worshipped as a Goddess of Arcane Magic, without the Chthonic and Witchcraft elements.   Exorsia’s second moon, Cyrene, is also sacred to Hecate and a symbol of her power.   Domains: Curses, Ghosts, Magic, Power and Witchcraft.   Symbols: Arcane Runes, Cats, Cyrene (Moon), Two Torches and the Strophalos.

Apperance

Hecate is exclusively depicted as feminine, commonly as three figures that mirage together. She is commonly hooded, with a crown of thorns, glowing purple eyes and long dark hair.   In depictions of Rhea, she is always Elvish with tanned skin, long black hair and arcane tattoos across her body.

Holidays

Deîpnon - The 14th to the 16th of Deúteros, Pémptos, Ogdos and Eudéchatos
Is the day when Exorsia’s second moon, Cyrene, becomes full, arcane magic is at its strongest. These days are commonly celebrated by the followers of Hecate, the goddess of magic. While most people see these days as an omen, the followers of Hecate undergo sacred arcane rites that can only be performed under Cyrene’s light.   Day of Salvation - 16th of Pémptos
Sometimes called Rhea Day, on this day the people of Hepsut celebrate the goddess of magic, thanking her for protecting them during the Fall of Arcanum. This day is notable for a great festival held in Maran where the city rises into the Sky after undergoing repairs.
