Divinity
The Gods are a species of extremely powerful immortal beings, each with control over certain domains of nature or society, and have had a hand in shaping reality itself, from creating the Planes, to influencing the history of Exorsia. Some of the oldest and most powerful Gods, known as the Primordials, even act as embodiments of philosophical concepts, such as Time or Magic.
Despite this, the Gods are not unfeeling creators, they have personalities, and feel emotion and pain. While they are extremely powerful, they still require effort to perform magnificent feats. The Gods are also not omnipresent, while they can split their personalities to be in many places at once, they are still limited in what they can pay attention to. They don’t hear every prayer, and they can’t solve every problem.
Worship
The Gods are largely unchanging beings, they lack Free Will, and are akin to a force of nature, incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
The Gods are empowered by Mortal worship, the more followers a God has, the more powerful the God is, with a Divinities power level fluctuating with their number of worshipers. The Primordials are affected far less by worship than the other Gods.
Some Gods are worshiped as two or more separate entities, with different names, domains and even personalities. These different personalities are often called Aspects.
