Celestials
Celestials are the native denizens of the Plane of Celestia, sometimes called Angels. As a species they generally lack much personality or emotion outside of feelings of loyalty and a desire for justice.
Celestials make up the armies of the Heavens and serve at the behest of the Gods themselves. Usually acting as Heralds or instruments of Divine retribution. Celestials follow orders without question, and perceive the world through a strict doctrine of good or evil.
Language: Celestials speak the language of the Gods, Celestial.
Biology:
Celestials do not need to eat, drink, sleep and they do not age and can not reproduce. Celestials are naturally formed over centuries within the Plane of Celestia. Celestials don’t have a concept of Gender and can change their appearance to be masculine, feminine or androgynous at will. Though most will stick to their favoured form. Unlike mortals, Celestials do not possess souls or free will. They have a set and strict identity and are incapable of change. Celestials die permanently if they are killed.Hierarchy:
Celestials serve the Gods and Metatron above all else, an aspect of the God Khronos. The most powerful of the Celestials are known as the Archangels or Paragons. They are Quasi-Deities and the Generals of the armies of the Heavens. There are seven Archangels in total, each representing one of the seven virtues of Celestia; Justice, Temperance, Charity, Faith, Hope, Patience and Humility. The former Archangel of Patience, Zariel, was corrupted by Asmodeus and fell, becoming the Archdevil of Wrath. She was replaced by the Archangel Hasdiel.
