The Circle of Dreams
The trees around us are enormous, both in height and circumference. I can barely spot where precisely the branches begin jutting out from the trunks. Siasu leads us from clearing to clearing, each one its own specialized section of Circsom.
Structure
Their leader is the The Dreamkeeper. The Dreamkeeper has a physical, material plane representative—Darmo Sans. Then there are the druids, capable of navigating themselves and others through the Dreamscape. They take in disciples to train.
Disbandment
"Well, uh, after you left, a sort of doorway...opened up in the temple and...bad, uh, stuff came through. Some people who survived the initial attack had difficulty sleeping. They went to the, uh, monastery for treatment, but it...didn't work. They...started stabbing and...and eating people."Between the Third Deus and Sixth Seizus of Scarlet, Circsom was attacked several times by extra-planar monstrosities, leaving piles of the dead and viscera in the streets. The Onnan River dried up, leaving residents without a safe way to travel south to safety.
We arrive in Circsom around noon. The place is deserted. We wander around, finding Sviotia at the museum; the only person left.After the river's flow was restored, on the Seventh Forthus of Scarlet, the last remaining Somnian left and sailed downriver to Ace Hovel to join with the rest of the refugees.
We arrive at the refugee camp. I run to Myuon's tent and throw open the flap. No one's there.On the Second Forthus of Hauteclere, the Seekers of East try to stop Darmo from sending the refugees into the Glasslands—a certain death trap. They are too late. However, a few survivors make it to the Bimonastery and tenuous safety—for a time. On the Sixth Forthus of Glace, the Seekers of East arrived at the Bimonastery to find it utterly decimated. The last of the Circle of Dreams perished in the attack.
