Esgalel

Escalel, an elven sorceress of striking power and forgotten purpose, first arrived in Ashkrim with no memory of her past. Her mind had been sealed by magic, her identity reduced to fragments and dreams. Guided by a vision and aided by the royal Wizard Trevelyan, she journeyed across the sea, tasked with aiding a realm in desperate need.
She became a companion to Elias Brackstone after he and his band of Exiles helped cleanse Falkirk Keep of a Dreadborn infestation. Though uncertain of her past, Escalel proved a loyal ally and a powerful force against the growing darkness in the land.
In time, and with the aid of magic obtained from the Wizard Pelitar, her memory returned. She learned that she had once served as apprentice and confidante to Lorcan Blackwood. Worse still, she had conspired with his second, Damien Stroud, to weaken Ashkrim from within and prepare it for Rakash invasion. Horrified by the truth, Escalel chose to remain in the fight to make up for some of her past sins.
She stood beside Erasmus of Eaton in the Battle of Hommlet, her magic a key factor in Damien Stroud’s defeat. With his defeat and the Rakash pushed back, the battle was won.
After the fighting, Escalel journeyed south to Brindol, where she became a fixture at the Duke’s winter court. She was present at the Yule celebration when her friend and fellow Exile, Elias Brackstone, was named Baron of the Western Reaches.
