Elias Brackstone

Elias Brackstone was born in Aeritain during the reign of Good King Henry. A loyal and capable man, he served in the household of the Lord of Gwent until he was unjustly accused of allowing Lorcan Blackwood to escape. Blamed for a failure that was not his own, Elias was imprisoned in the royal dungeon at Kingsbridge and later exiled by Lord Athenry in the final days of 216 CR.   While awaiting transport, Elias was visited by the renowned Knight Sir Arthur Volten. Recognizing that Elias had been wrongfully condemned, Sir Arthur arranged for his freedom upon arrival in Ashkrim. He also tasked Elias with aiding a fallen comrade, Sir Jacob Roland of Falkirk Keep. Upon landing in Ashkrim, Elias joined with a group of exiles, all chosen to help restore order to the struggling colony. They united their efforts, becoming a capable band of adventurers dedicated to the good of the realm.   Elias distinguished himself through a series of victories, including repelling a Rakash assault on Hommlet and unmasking a deadly smuggling ring in Saltmarsh. His leadership, bravery, and unwavering sense of duty earned him widespread respect. After the Battle of Hommlet, he was knighted by the Duke himself and promised a barony of his own.   In time, the Duke granted Elias lordship over the Western Reaches, elevating him to Baron. Though the appointment stirred political tensions with the Laurent family, Elias remained focused on his duty; to protect the frontier, serve the people, and ensure that justice and honor prevailed. From scapegoat to hero, Elias Brackstone stands as a symbol of redemption, resilience, and resolve. He is a paragon to the common folk showing just how high any man can rise through hard work and determinaion in the new world.
"I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I’ve always tried to be fair. That counts for something, I think."
