Eh, What's Up, Doc?

Summer 2021, Week 2

Friday evening

Randolph, City Centre

Oliver Lobelia

Oliver was making his way through town in a crimson corvette, when he spotted someone covered in essentially the same color as his cars paint job limping down the street. That's not normal. he thinks as the vehicle comes to a stop nearby, the windows rolling down so they can speak. "You don't look like you're having a good day, Ma’am..." he says, the words sounding almost robotic to a degree.

White Lotus (Female)

She walked with her head down. While she loved the pain, and the fact that even now her contacts were sliding off her eyes the blood dripping down from the crack in her forehead. Her skull was very much broken, she could feel the blood rushing out over and over. Each step pushed more out of her head. It was beginning to get hard to focus on keeping the blood clotted... both because she couldn't keep her mind steady... and she loved the feeling. When the car pulled up, she lifted her head to the side giving a small smile. She was trying to be a bit sultry, her smile wide and full as she lifted her arm up to her side. “I have no... I…” She was stopped mid-sentence as she coughs all but puking out blood from the broken ribs impaling her stomach... “OK... Perhaps you are correct.... Care to give a poor soul a ride? I promise... even If I wanted to bite... I couldn’t...” Every inch of her was covered in sticky red goo... as if she bathed in it fully clothed. Her skin was only visible in small patches. The blood, deep and red, clung to her every inch.

Oliver Lobelia

He wanted to laugh at the comment about biting, but the thought was drowned out by the curiosity that was filling him. How is this woman still alive? He presses a button, and the passenger door pops open slowly. "Get in. I'm on my way to a clinic myself, but it looks like your injury is a bit more urgent. Don't worry about the car, I don't mind a bit of blood." he says with an almost clinical tone. The interior is mostly black with highlights of red, much like the clothing he wears. He closes the door once she gets in and starts driving. He seems perfectly calm but the speed he brings the vehicle to shows that he takes the situation seriously, the corvette swerving quickly between vehicles to save time almost the way you would see one of those expert get-away drivers do it in the movies. Meanwhile, he casually tries to make conversation. "Care to tell me what happened? If you can't answer, of course, I have no issue with that... though I can't help but wonder."

White Lotus (Female)

“Well, honestly... I can’t talk about it; you know you never kiss and tell.” She giggled now that she was sitting and could focus on keeping her breathing a bit steadier, it was easier to think. Far easier than her heavy footsteps on the concrete. She wasted no time leaning back into the soft seat, giving a small coo as she was able to take a full deep breath for the first time in quite a while. “But if you must know, which I can’t help but tell it was a wild night of passion. I think met the boy of my dreams you know. Sadly, I'm not sure if I'll get a second date. He sorta ran off without letting me finish. Close but no... bang. I'm always willing to let him try again through. Definitely the best date I have had in a while.”

Oliver Lobelia

Wild night of passion? How much of that blood is actually hers, then? This only gets stranger and stranger. "I'm sure it was a night like no other if it got you into that kind of condition. You're in luck though, where we're headed the treatments can cure anything, or so they say. I'm certainly going to find out for myself, and they allow anonymous patients, so you don't have to worry about them finding out about your fun." The car suddenly pulls up to a curb next to a large building which seemed to be an old clock tower.
Blair Lethia Clinic, City Centre

Storyteller

With the moon still hanging in the sky, the clinic's clock would strike 1 in the morning with a single chime, a reminder to all who hear it that the clinic is accepting any stray wanderers attempting to make use of the cover night provides... With the clinic's lanterns and lights on, it would also be naturally apparent from outside that there is indeed a resident inhabiting the building for the night. With the schedule of the sole inhabitant being partially nocturnal, it would be no surprise to any understanding individual that the clinic's hours persisted far into the night. The streets surrounding the clinic would be empty, save the occasional few stragglers that graced the clinic's walks, and the signs hanging above the tower's doors would be plainly visible, reading: "Blair Lethia Clinic~ Accepting any and all who require aid." As it seems, there may be a few willing to take the clinic up on that offer...

White Lotus (Female)

Laughing a bit, she pushed open the door and swung her legs out, wincing as her bare feet hit the pavement. Rising to her feet she gave a very light stretch, trying to not aggravate her wounds... They were going to take days to heal. She wouldn't be able to use this body for few days it was looking like. Perhaps she would just toss it aside for now. Groaning she walked towards the doors of the clinic, knocking heavily on the door, waiting for an answer

Oliver Lobelia

He opens his door and gets up out of the car as well, pressing a button on his keys as he walks around the vehicle to join the woman at the door. Immediately both doors close and lock automatically. Adjusting his tie as he approached the door, he spoke up. "This is a place of business, there should be no need to knock." He quickly opens the large door, standing to the side while still holding the handle. "After you." he says, making a gesture with his other hand for her to enter.

Evelyn Bondrew

The door would open as quickly as Oliver would attempt, little to no resistance present in the door's movement. It would be apparent that the exterior of the building matched the interior, as from their current position little more than stone, candles, and a few rows of wooden seats would be present within. If they chose to focus more or enter the building, the two individuals would notice a central, round counter ahead of the seats, a clearly large reception area for those who chose to enter the clinic. A set of lanterns would also be present adorning the top of the counter, a pair of dark brown boots neighboring them as a figure could be seen behind the counter reclining in her seat- feet on the counter. The light around the figure would be enough to illuminate the individual, their white hair shining in the flame-light around a mask pulled up- concealing everything below their eyes. The clinic's reception hall would not be as dark as one would think- a most likely welcome surprise to the duo, but it was still dark enough where it counted to provide a sense of aesthetic. Behind the counter would be a hallway illuminated by at least a dozen lanterns, and above the duo currently would be a hollow segment of the clock-tower that would stretch for a few stories at least- a locked wooden lift resting near the entrance beside them.   A cold yet feminine voice would- assuming they enter together- soon greet them after their first few steps inside. "Welcome, only state the seriousness of your injury and how urgent it is. Nothing else- yet." This would be accompanied by the figure standing, a book being set down before her as she pulled a cane out of her lap and stood patiently behind the counter.

Oliver Lobelia

Oliver eyes his surroundings as the two of them enter but it was hard to tell as he tried not to make it obvious, and his mask was obscuring his eyes. Certainly not your average clinic, that much is clear. As he approached the counter he kept his posture quite well despite the atmosphere, responding to the figure that called out to them as he walked. "My injury is severe but controlled. This one looks to be near death from what I can tell, though I do not have any medical training to back that assessment." he says matter-of-fact, his slightly robotic voice hinting towards what his injury might be. He seems to give little care to whether or not she can make it to the counter on her own, making no effort to help her. He does, however, glance over at her to see if she is keeping up.

White Lotus (Female)

Perhaps it was her love of pain, perhaps it was the raw stubbornness that came with said love, or perhaps she was facing how bad she was truly hurt. But she did keep up quite well, matching each foot fall of the man’s almost in sync before passing him. She didn't do second. Pushing past the man he walked right up to the feminine orderly. Lifting her eyes, she did her best to wipe the blood out of them. Peering up to the orderly she gave a week smile. She may not feel too much besides the overwhelming pleasure of her wounds, but this body was very much starting to suffer from acute blood loss. Her golden eyes dimming and her breathing becoming more and more shallow. “While not the best night I've had, a professional could have done it better… so I would state about a ten.”

Evelyn Bondrew

The figure would be half-turned to the duo, the unassuming nature of Evelyn's curiosity opting to instead let the wounds do the talking when they get to a theatre... Indeed, she needed help- the visible amount of blood and caving nature of the woman's skull hinted that she would most likely not be able to walk her own way to a room. This alerted Evelyn, as the oddly dressed woman then quickly moved around the counter to stand in front of the injured lady in her reception hall. Once she stood in front of the pair, Evelyn pulled her bag from her side and sat it on the counter, reaching into the dark folds to pull out a vial filled with a deep red liquid. She popped off its cap and turned to the woman- "Drink this, it may taste... undesirable, but it will stabilize you long enough I can properly treat you." The woman's face was still shrouded behind the cloth, but the glare in her eyes was enough to impose a sense of urgency in both of the guests.   Assuming Lotus obliges and sips the liquid, Evelyn would take the vial and cap it, hiding it within her bag once more before moving again. The effects of the liquid- if consumed- will be illustrated in the next post of mine.

Oliver Lobelia

The man in the suit simply watched, seemingly detached though in reality he was actively looking for anything he found to be strange. As she pulled the vial out his eyes fixated on it and what she intended to do with it. Is that blood? "Curious" he says a bit under his breath. He knew the many shades of red that blood could take so it was the first thing he considered, but he couldn't be sure with that alone. If the woman that came with him takes the liquid, he begins watching her and her wounds very closely. He doesn't say another word during this entire process unless addressed.

White Lotus (Female)

Tilting her head, she grasped the vile with shaky hands... While she rarely said no to random drinks from strangers, she was a bit unsure about this. This was... Odd... A random red liquid that was supposed to just fix her. Sniffing the vial, she didn't smell a bit of medicine. “So, what's in this? Not crocodile right?” Giggling she pinched her nose and downed the liquid with a quick swallow

Evelyn Bondrew

Evelyn would smirk slightly at Lotus' comment, however hidden the effort would be. She would presume a standing position against the counter while waiting for the woman to drink, but once she did Evelyn's gloved hands would take the vial and its leftover contents back- following through with its concealment. "Now, you should be able to walk, both of you- follow me please." Evelyn would turn, but instead waited a moment for the effects of the liquid to impact Lotus before moving. Evelyn would halfway glance back at the woman, awaiting the inevitable and likely visible ping of pain to hit the near corpse standing next to her.   As Evelyn turned, the liquid would begin to take effect within Lotus, as the small dose would target the most critical aspects of Lotus' condition in order to stabilize the woman. A slicing pain throughout her stomach would accompany a feeling of fulfillment, just as though the woman ate a full dinner, as Evelyn's blood began to adapt to her own and replenish the amount of blood Lotus lost. The slicing pain would emanate from Evelyn's blood making contact with her cracked ribs, but the effect would end there. Due to the small dose the woman consumed, it would feel as though Lotus was just brought to a cliff, and held to dangle off it before being roped back in. This would persist for a few minutes if she did not receive more of Evelyn's blood, but the woman would not entirely know how to place this new sensation. This signaled the stabilization of Lotus' body, as the ribs were only slightly graced by the stabilizing nature of the doctor's blood. Otherwise, Lotus would feel a surge of strength in her limbs that would allow her to carry herself, but any movement more draining than that would still feel just as powerless as Lotus was mere moments ago. This verge of fulfillment mixed with pain might even be intoxicating to Lotus considering her prior demeanor, but the pain Evelyn's blood would cause would be unlike any sensation Lotus has felt before.   Whether Lotus did indeed make a visible reaction to the blood's effects or not, Evelyn would turn back around with a smile and continue walking toward a hallway opposite the entrance- a lantern in one hand and the striking sound of her cane emanating from the other with each step. It was apparent the owner of the clinic would not wait for them to move, but she did not walk at a pace that would leave either of them behind.

White Lotus (Female)

She hadn't felt anything like this before. The white fire pulsing through her veins was... sickening... like a syrup that was too sweet. It felt like her bones were forcefully resting but with a soft hand placed on the bare skin of her chest she knew they couldn't be. Still dressed in her unbuttoned top it was easy to press down on her damaged rips and wince in the sweet pain... This fire burned through with the thundering beat of her heart... She wanted… no… needed more. This... This was a drug. “Go... Gods above doc wh...fuckkkkk.” She winced, struggled to stay on her feet... Her legs felt weak, her knees knocking together a bit as she waddled towards the doctor. "Doc... Miss doc...bagsanim… Please tell me were to get more." She spoke in her native tongue without realizing it. Paying no mind as she followed dreamily behind the doctor.

Oliver Lobelia

Oliver watched carefully as the woman drank the substance and went through the process and using his sixth sense, he picked up some of the aspects of the liquids ability to heal from observing the scene. So, it's not another scam, this is legitimate... This might actually be what I'm looking for. he thought as he mentally processed the information that he received. It wasn't much information due to the nature of the ability, but it was enough for him to start believing in this strange clinic's reputation. White Lotus' reaction to the effects has him a bit concerned but he looks past that for now. She is a pretty strange woman as it is, doesn't surprise me that she'd get off to it somehow. He continued to silently keep an eye on the injured woman, keeping to the back of the group as they walked.

Evelyn had noted Oliver's cautious patience and seemed unfazed by Lotus' reaction as she began moving. Evelyn had seemingly ignored Lotus' plea for more, but that didn't seem to matter as the injured woman followed behind Evelyn mindlessly anyways. The group would be led by Evelyn for a little under a minute, the stone of the hallways giving a few hints as to the true age of the building. The history of the rooms they passed would be up to them to guess, but Evelyn had her rules, and as unspoken as they were, it seemed the duo would follow them, nonetheless. At least, the woman now half-lost to euphoric bliss would seemingly follow Evelyn's every command so long as she delivered the plunge Lotus so desperately craved now... As they walked, Evelyn's voice would weigh over their footsteps, the silent backdrop of the clinic marking her voice clearly~ "You are not the first masochist to have walked into my clinic Miss, but do know that I will likely have to give you a painkiller for what is to come next. Of course, you can always opt out of that portion of the treatment if you are so inclined."   With Evelyn's offer left to hang in the air between them, the group would continue to be led down a hall for another minute, lantern-light gracing the collective footsteps of the group now. A few marked doors would be noticeable along their path, as next to each one would be a wooden sign, marking their use. After passing~ "OP1... OP2..." Evelyn would stop their path before a wooden door marked: "OP3." Next to the door would be a lantern hanging on a chain, the orange flame strong enough to bathe the entire group in enough light to see clearly. It was apparent Evelyn sparingly used lanterns in the halls, as there were plenty of lightless gaps littering the path they took. Now that the group had stopped, Evelyn turned to Oliver and handed him the lantern she had been holding onto as they walked. Assuming the two had followed suitably behind her all this time and Oliver obliged, Evelyn would turn to the door and unlock its handle.   Looking at Oliver, Evelyn would speak through her cloth mask: "There is no need to be so on edge here Mr. Mask, thousands of lost souls have washed up here and left made whole. Soon you shall see."

Oliver Lobelia

Oliver eyes everything as they walk, though the gaze was more analytical than actually suspicious. He takes hold of the lantern without complaint when it's handed to him. A part of him would normally hate being asked to do something so trivial but with everything running through his mind he didn't have room to process discontent at something so minor. He holds the lantern somewhat near the lock without having to be asked, giving her the maximum amount of light to perform the task as possible.   "It's more so curiosity than anything else. And yes, I've heard there isn't a wound you can't heal here... Your reputation precedes you, Ma'am." he says in response, his voice seemingly still calm and steady. His overall demeanor was a strange mix of edge and Zen.

White Lotus (Female)

“Repu... reputation? The bagsanim has a? Eotteon pyeongpan what reputation?” Lotus was mad, she needed more. Her... need was fading, the longer she walked the lower she fell. She had been right on the edge, so close to the wonderful fireworks she needed. She whines now, edging was not something she enjoyed, yet... she understood the need some people felt to drag out their play... This... this was torture... both of the best kind and the worst... She would play along till she reached her peak... She had to... "And no. No pain killers please, why would you ever be such a tease? That is just cruel Kwin."

Evelyn Bondrew

Lotus' rambling would leave Evelyn with a smirk, the clashing personalities of the two before her were an interesting mix. She finished opening the door, her gaze returning to the pitch-black space greeting the group on the door's opposite side. It would make most people pause at the pure darkness within, with the torchlight the only thing preventing it from swallowing them whole. A few seconds later, Evelyn would take a step inside and reach for a switch beside the entrance, the clear ^click^ of the switch leading to a few lights turning on overhead.   These lights were starkly modern in their functionality, as they were long and flat white lights like the kind you would find in a hospital. The contrast now would be quite a sight, as there was almost not a single shred of the darkness from before to be scene inside the room. Signaling for the duo to enter behind her, Evelyn would continue walking toward the middle of the room, which would be a large, impossibly smooth, table seemingly carved out of stone. If their eyes chose to wander, Lotus and Oliver would be met with an assortment of shelves and wooden furniture lining the walls of the room. It was apparent it was an operating room, as many of the typical tools and machines one would find in a modern hospital were also present here. Despite this, there was plenty of free room surrounding the table, and there were a few chairs that could be found around the room. Noticeably, there would not be a single cobweb in sight, and either individual would struggle to find a spider or layer of dust in the room. If they were paying attention, it would almost seem uncanny how clean Evelyn kept the room- neither person would be blamed for thinking the room had never been used before. Other than the utensils of note, a large counter would be found close to the operating table and a single wooden door could be seen in a far corner.   Now setting her bag on the table, Evelyn would have her back turned to the pair as she took off her gloves and replaced them with a set of your stereotypical disposable gloves. "Now, Miss, I ask that you get on the table- I need to look you over. Mr. Mask, a seat is open to you if you would care for it. While I inspect our guest here, I would ask you tell me any and all injuries you may have, whether they be old or new. There's no point in hiding anything now, as they'll be gone by the night's end." The typical cold and almost bored tone of Evelyn's voice that usually would be heard in short bursts now changed to a commanding and more professional timbre more fitting for a doctor.

Oliver Lobelia

His reaction to the darkness is minimal, but he has a bit more of a reaction to the scene once the lights come on. "You keep this place remarkably clean. Are you the only person who works here? I've yet to see another worker." He looks around a bit but at this point he is more curious about what is about to happen. He takes the seat as he is offered it, propping his left foot up on his right knee.   "All my injuries come from the same incident where my spine, neck, and jaw received severe damage, leaving me paralyzed for a time. The spinal and neck injuries have since been treated with various surgeries which got me walking again but this mask is the main thing keeping my jaw functional. It may be better for me to show you so that you can see the extent of the damage for yourself." As he speaks the final sentence he reaches up to his face and grabs the mask with both hands. A couple of clicks and other mechanical sounds can be heard just before the mask seemingly pops off his face, including the portion covering his green eyes. The mask seems to be much bulkier than one would expect, and a large amount of material essentially comes out from where a portion of Oliver's face should be as he lowers it to his side. As he does this his face, or what's left of it at least, comes fully into view.   His lips are entirely missing along with a large amount of his cheeks and entire chunks of his jawbone, with pieces of metal surgically implanted to hold his jaw together. All the tissue that remains in the area once covered by the mask is an amalgamation of burn and gash scars including the space directly around the eyes, and his eyelids themselves seem to be missing as well. The most notable feature revealed however were his unnaturally long and sharp canine teeth which, thanks to all the missing skin and teeth, stick out quite a bit.

White Lotus (Female)

“Wellll, I started my night, with a small fall... Nothing big. A two story drop off a fire escape. Before I continued my lovely walk to my first date... He was so lame kwin. Not like you.” She purred a bit as she said the word. The new name she had for Evelyn. "Barely gave me anything, quite basic... Then I had a lovely encounter with the man of my dreams... real Fabio type, even if he ruined my foursome... Hmm I shouldn't have said that." With a small giggle she held her hand over her mouth looking under her lashed towards her Kwin. "But he was the one to give me these lovely marks, ah young love… too bad he barely lasted... Very much a two-pump chump if you catch my drift Kwin." Rolling her shoulders, she tossed off her coat, she was wearing a plain pear of skin pasties over her nipples but wore no bra. Leaving her nude from the waist up. "He attempted to get to my heart but failed, but he was quite close. It feels like my ribs are shattered, my left lung is punctured based on how I am struggling to breath."

Evelyn Bondrew

As Evelyn was preparing, she turned to face Oliver's question~ "Indeed, I alone staff this clinic." As Oliver sat down and continued to reveal the extent of his injuries, Evelyn's reaction to his face would be similarly unfazed as before. This was definitely on the more intriguing side of the injuries she had seen in her career due to the nature of his past healing, but the makeshift nature of the heal left Evelyn with the desire to remedy the deformity they caused to his face. "Do not worry Mister, you will be modeling yourself in the mirror when we are finished, all you need to do is drink this." As Evelyn had been viewing his injuries, she had been preparing a cocktail of her blood that contained a large enough dose to fully repair his injuries. Continuing to prepare Oliver's treatment, she listened to what Lotus had to say, another of her signature smirks gracing her lips as Lotus' bizarre retelling was laid bare. She had been mulling over the correct dosage as Lotus continued, considering she did not entirely understand the extent of Oliver's deformity, but the general area was all she needed. She would gaze at Lotus once more and nod in understanding of her condition before walking to Oliver with a glass cup in her hand. She had finished the cocktail of her blood, and the contents within was quite a large amount of liquid. All this is to say, it would be quite the sizable gulp.   "Now, due to the nature of your injury, I'll need to pour this down your throat for you- the pain will most likely lock your body up completely for a little while." Preparing to treat Oliver first due to the speed with which it could be done, Evelyn would await him to be ready for what is to come. "Do be warned mister, this will be unlike anything you have experienced in this life and do please let me know if you would like anything to soothe the pain that will soon follow."   As this unfolded, Evelyn had still been pondering how she should handle Lotus' treatment, more than a few ideas coming to mind.   Oliver will respond next, then I will follow once more, then Lotus will respond, then the treatment will begin.

Oliver Lobelia

He places the mask back against his face for a moment and locks it into place again but doesn't take his hands off it, only leaving the mask on for a moment to respond to the question before removing it once more. "Anything that will dull the pain without making me lose consciousness would be welcome, but I'd prefer to remain awake."

Evelyn Bondrew

With a curt nod, Evelyn moved to set the glass down on a small table beside his chair, deciding to grab a sedative off of the shelf dedicated to such substances. The shelf was about as tall as Evelyn was, and she skimmed through the labels on the various bottles before filling a needle with a substance capable of doing the job. It would be a regional anesthetic, meant to numb the upper half of his body while targeting his spine in particular. Evelyn returned to Oliver with the needle in hand and motioned for him to remove his shirt. Assuming he did so, she would inject the anesthetic, accordingly, effectively numbing the aforementioned sections of his body as preparation for the treatment soon to follow. Setting the now empty needle on the counter aside her bag, she returned and readied to help him drink the cocktail. Setting his mask on the same table as before alongside his jacket- he still had his shirt on- Evelyn fed Oliver the contents of the glass. After pouring it all down his throat before his body would lock up, Evelyn returned the glass to the counter before saying to Oliver~ "Prepare yourself, the sedation I employed will only do so much, and the rest will have to be on you."   With Oliver's treatment about to be undertaken after a minute or so, Evelyn turned her attention to Lotus and quickly prepared an I.V. She had decided that this would be the best way to guarantee a proper dosage with minimal influence during the process, and prepared a proper bag taken from the regional storage unit in the operating room for the procedure. Now standing above Lotus, Evelyn had already moved the woman's shirt aside and prepared the space around her. She did not know of their powers or what they might do during the process, so she would have to remain beside them both while the procedure would work its magic. Looking down now at Lotus, she nodded at the woman and awaited some sign that she was ready for what was to come...

White Lotus (Female)

“Ready? Yes, I’m more than ready Kwin.” Lotus watched with wide golden eyes the doctor danced around the room to her different equipment, stalking her in a way. She missed nothing but didn't understand a thing. To her it was all foreign and made little sense, but her words... Those made sense, extreme pain. Sedatives those words she understood... and disliked. As the doctor came closer and prepped her for an IV, she shook her head slowly reaching out to grab the doctor's arm. There wasn’t a threat in her voice, actually it sounded as if it was worship and respect. Through it was firm. “Kwin, no sedatives. Pain bothers me not... but I cannot sleep. I cannot be allowed to sleep. I must stay awake for my own sake... and yours.”

Storyteller

Miles away atop the clouds, the sleeping White lotus stirred in his massive mound of silk and satin. This was odd as his guards often said he slept like the dead. Flat on his back with his arms crossed over his chest. Sweat was beginning to form atop his brow as panic set in. He was worried about something.

Evelyn Bondrew

Evelyn listened to the words Lotus spoke, mentally noting that she should not be put to sleep even halfway through the process. Those who normally liked the pain her blood induced never noticed her slipping them into a soft slumber as they healed, but that last part stuck out to the doctor... "-for my own sake, and yours." That prompted her to be weary regarding the dosage, but instead steeled her resolve to continue with the procedure. "I understand... Well, I wish you luck staying awake through the pain, as it might just knock you out on its own..." The words would most likely stick out to Lotus considering her concern over it, but there would be no helping it- a human body could only take so much. With that said, Evelyn eased Lotus' grasp on the I.V. and snuck it into her skin, the blood within pouring into the broken body on the table...   Now that both of the patients in the room had received their due to Evelyn's blood, the night of horrors would begin for them. This process had blessed Evelyn's vision too many times to count, but every time it was someone's first, Evelyn would stay with them. It wasn't quite sadism, but she enjoyed watching the first reaction- the roots of addiction always grasped her patients, and it was quite the beautiful spectacle to witness. The blood on Lotus would be almost dried now, but the now half-naked woman on Evelyn's table would begin to feel the crashing wave that would send her off that ledge she had been dangling off of for minutes now. Simultaneously, Oliver's own trip through hell would begin, however eased it was by the anesthetic she administered to him. He would still be conscious, and the pain would be lessened, but almost nothing in the world could fully prevent the sensation Evelyn's blood induced... She had already experimented with that before- extensively.   from his back, Oliver would feel his body begin to relax as his spine was healed. While the blood was working on the nerves connected to the spine, Oliver would later notice a severe lack in any kind of joint pain, as Evelyn's blood smoothed over any trivial infractions surrounding the nerves it was originally focused on.   For Oliver, his trip would begin at his spine, the blood prioritizing the makeshift job done to it over anything else due to its importance. As her blood would wash over that section of the body, Oliver's back would feel as though hundreds of bugs were walking around under his skin, the pain peeled back to reveal the true sensation beneath. The sound of cars driving would likely be hallucinated, Oliver's vision also deceiving him as the room would fade from view- replaced by lights and paint splatters on a white void... No, not paint- blood. Hallucinations of the crash, the turning point of his life, would flash through his vision as the blood worked through his lower spine. The crawling sensation would give-way to the sound of a loud crack, the noise amplified within his own ears while minuscule to the other people in the room. It would likely shake Oliver, a sharp pain accompanying it through the haze in his mind. As the snap faded from his memory of mere moments ago, the crawling would begin to move as it began climbing his back. As it ascended, Oliver would see his view of the car-ride, the crash only minutes away. Now halfway up his spine, Oliver's body would freeze, unable to move in any way as his spine was shifted back to how it was before that disaster. As Evelyn's blood soothed the deformities, a shock would strike throughout his entire body, his fingers and nerves all crying out as their spine- quite literally- was sending millions of signals at once.   This type of sensation was not natural, and the spine would almost be completely remedied- the pain throughout his lower half beginning to subside as a car horn rang through his ears. With the crawling feeling now absent from his back, Oliver would feel his body begin to relax as his spine was healed. While the blood was working on the nerves connected to the spine, Oliver would later notice a severe lack in any kind of joint pain, as Evelyn's blood smoothed over any trivial infractions surrounding the nerves it was originally focused on. As the otherworldly sensation faded from his spine, Oliver's face would be set ablaze in pain as the blood targeted his other injuries. Alongside everything else around his head, Evelyn's blood would focus primarily on the deformity that was his face. Following the hallucination that Oliver was experiencing, he would likely hear a car horn as they were hit, the fear and pain that scene caused him playing out before fading away. To him, Oliver's hazy thoughts would likely attribute the fading nature of the scene to Evelyn's blood comforting him, but that would be a mere trick of the mind. Either way, Oliver's face would still be experiencing the pain like nothing else as the missing bone was grown back, the blood within him forcing the skull to replenish what was lost.   The proper nutrients necessary would be directly delivered by the treatment, as Evelyn's blood overrode the nature of the human condition to force it back into place. Within seconds, the missing bone within Oliver's head would be there as though it never left, and then the truly painful part would begin. This was what masochists craved, and Oliver was about to experience it firsthand. Skin began reaching across the gaps in his face, the nerves being regrown much faster than normal as the new sensations began flooding Oliver's mind. He would likely be screaming now, as almost no one could withstand the sensation of millions of nerves all yelling out in unison at their collective birth silently. The skin would be replenished though, and Oliver's face would show almost no sign of there ever being an injury- save the discoloration of the newly grown skin compared to the rest of his face. That would change quickly though, as the pale nature of his skin would likely make the fresh skin fit right in soon enough.   Embers of the pain Oliver felt would remain now, but for the most part the anesthetic would have cast out the true pain he felt before. The smoldering remains of his trip would still be present, but Oliver would now be able to feel his body healed completely, and Evelyn wouldn't have blamed him if he chose to feel his newly healed cheeks or chin. As he was coming down from the trip, it would be up in the air how Oliver's mind would handle the memory now, but there was no doubt that a new sense of relief would now accompany the scars it left behind. A numbing sensation would still accompany a few sparks striking through his body due to the anesthetic's presence, but that would fade within the hour.   Meanwhile, across the operating room, Lotus' trip would be something entirely different from what Oliver experienced...   As Oliver was experiencing his own healing process, Lotus would likely be producing much different noises than him. Evelyn had resigned to taking a seat, only once leaving to set up a sign reading: "Currently in Procedure, please wait here for attention." on the main desk in the reception hall. She had immediately returned, her book from before in tow as she patiently waited for her blood to heal the patients in her operating room. As she had waited, Lotus would have been in the middle of the plunge mentioned before- that feeling of edge she had experienced now giving fully into the feeling of falling, plummeting, faster than she would have expected. As this occurred, a lingering pain would begin to build as Evelyn's blood sought out her injuries. It would begin with her ribs and lungs, as it forcefully began adapting to her body. The sense of fulfillment she experienced minutes before would return, as the blood she had lost was being replaced quickly. This would most likely mark the beginning of her trip, as the plummet had suddenly stopped before giving way to a feeling that Lotus would fully experience in his slumber miles away from the clinic. While the blood was healing his other body, it would be clear that he was at least partially experiencing the mental effects of the ride, and it is because of this that he would play passenger to his own body, the female Lotus experiencing sensations so strongly that they crossed the link.   As Evelyn's blood now found the injury in her ribs and lungs, a series of stabbing pains would begin in her chest accompanied by the feeling of euphoria, as Lotus' body sought to draw pleasure from the pain it experienced. This would only go on for so long however, as there was only so much she could do before pain began to be recognized for what it was. Until then, Lotus would begin the ascent into a high unlike any she had felt before, the reverse of her plunge marking the buildup to a feeling that would possibly cause her to pass out. This is only because Evelyn's blood also sought to heal the injury on her head simultaneously, the I.V. serving to replenish her fill of Evelyn's blood so that it did not need to preserve its existence within the individual by targeting injuries separately. This would overload the sensations Lotus was receiving, as her brain was being delivered mountains of information from all over her body. As Evelyn's blood continued healing her chest, all of the visible marks and scratch spread variously on her body would disappear, and the feeling of skin and bone etching across her body once more would strike her just as it did Oliver. This of course was without any sort of aid to relieve the pain, and as such it was felt in its raw form. Lotus' body would be on fire, and it would not be out of the question for the brain to have tricked itself into thinking she was indeed dying.   The ascent would continue as Lotus was healed; the clouds having been a marker passed long ago. Her eyes would likely have glossed over by now, and the rapid healing of her wounds would have only sent her rocketing even more as her chest knit itself back together to form a smooth patch of fresh skin that would begin to match her natural skin tone over time. This visible change would signal Evelyn's involvement in her process due to the I.V., as the doctor removed it from her arm. The remaining blood in Lotus' system would be enough to finish the job, and Evelyn did not waste her blood when it came to matters such as these. Lotus would likely not even know Evelyn existed at that moment, as her vision and senses were completely overloaded by masochistic pleasure derived from the pain she was feeling. Unbeknownst to her however, she had reached the point that the pain was too much to ignore, and Evelyn gauged it now the best time to administer a painkiller to bring her back down slowly. After a moment of raw pain, Evelyn's injection would soothe the turn of pleasure as Lotus' head was healed, the only evidence of her antics the dried blood now covering her body. Evelyn would return to her seat after her involvement in the procedure, the book serving to help pass the time as her patients made sense of what just happened to them.

Storyteller

Pain, Pleasure, Madness. Objects of one's mind yet can often be so much more. What was once a thought quickly turned over into being. Nothing but a slight concept pouring over one's form like a tidal wave. Little Lotus, was drowning in all these things, her body was a raging inferno of pleasure... No pain,... No pleasure. She couldn't tell and it was maddening. Like a swarm of bees was buzzing across her skin. From her rather small petite chest down to her toes burning and stinging every inch of living form. She could feel it... Her eyes wide as her back arched. The burning blood, that sweet drug like no other. She could feel it burning through her body Tearing its way through her veins, forcing her muscles to restrict themselves together. Her bones rapidly grew against her body's own will or abilities. She shouldn't heal... She had no way to, her body did not consume... anything leaving it near impossible to heal outside of true clinical repairs her primary body often did, yet this blood... This sickening sweet syrup was forcing her to. She rode her high till she couldn't, thrashing in pleasure for what felt like eternity... Only to have ice cold water splashed in HIS face.   The young star sat straight up, like a screaming piston calling out in pleasure. His screams alerted his guards who broke down his penthouse door rushing in to save their charge. But he was fine, just struggling to keep the mental shock of what, till moments ago was rocking his soul to its very core. Patting down his body he tossed off his silken sheets grabbing at his own flat muscular chest...Nothing, No hole, no fire. No blood. Stained sheets were tossed aside ignoring the sticky wetness from sweat, and something less savory as he all but ran to the attached bathroom. Vomiting followed... His mind was still there, could still feel the pain, it wouldn't let go of it, his body ached with overuse. Clutching the toilet bowl, he emptied his stomach till all that came out was blackness. His guards were concerned the local police were called, having figured someone was poisoning their charge. While normal this was nothing a simple police task force, as soon as his manger staff found out their prize cow was possibly attacked thousands of lawyers would be called and the poor police force of New Victoria would receive more calls than they ever have before. Demanding to know why, or how white lotus could be hurt. None would even know better.   Back on the medical table the doctor might be quite surprised to find her patient dead... No brain function, her heart having suddenly stopped and her muscles instantly relaxing as if she had never been alive in the first place.

Oliver Lobelia

Oliver goes to sit back down as the blood is administered. It really is blood. It's different but there's no mistaking this taste. he thinks as it's poured down his throat, more details of the ability coming into his mind but quickly being overshadowed by the onset of the pain. He tries to stand out of reflex but falls over onto his hands and knees from the sudden spike in intensity as he hears the crack. As the images of the scene just before the wreck play back in his mind, he suddenly hears two voices he doesn't recognize yet feels are familiar, another memory linked to the one of the crash. 'How thick was the glass?' 'It's a miracle anyone survived at all.' Blood slowly begins to pool under Oliver's right hand, and he starts to claw at the floor with his fingers. The blood under his palm suddenly starts flowing towards his fingers and seemingly hardens as it turns a darker shade of red. Slowly this begins to form sharp claw like extensions to his fingers which he continues to scrape against the floor. Despite all this he stays quiet throughout the first phases of the process, not letting out very much vocally. Then the vehicles made contact and he saw his brother get crushed; the image much clearer than he remembered originally as he was forced to bear witness to it exactly as his mind had recorded it. The sudden lack of a human being with only glass, metal, and blood in its place. 'Some didn't even have bodies to identify.' the voice filled his mind once more. What seems to be a tear forms in one of his eyes, but as it flows out and drops from his face the crimson color becomes apparent. A single tear of blood as the hallucination ends the way the crash did, with the sounds of more vehicles caught in the wreck and everything seemingly crashing down around him. That was when his face began to heal and suddenly the only thing that fills his mind is pain. He grasps his head with both hands, panting as he does everything to hold on to some semblance of composure. The pants slowly turn into stifled screams as the pain reaches its peak, his control over the physical reaction starting to fracture. Then, just before his composure is fully shattered the pain begins to decline and he closes his eyes as the process finishes. Suddenly the sounds he once made in response to the pain shift into laughter and he laughs wildly for several seconds before finally trailing off into silence. It's not exactly clear what prompted the laughter, the most emotion he has shown since coming here, but once it's gone, he does his best to return to his previous demeanor. He does not feel his face with his hands the way one might expect but rather begins moving his jaw around, feeling the cleaner motions he had been unable to make for what felt like ages. He forces himself to stand, both finding it harder than normal thanks to the residual pain and yet easier than normal at the same time thanks to the renewed strength of his spine, then he pulls out a cloth which he uses to wipe the blood off his face and hand.   "My apologies for the damage to your floor, Ma'am, I'll ensure you are thoroughly compensated. It is the least I can do." he says in a somewhat low but clean voice, it now lacking the robotic sound caused by the mask.

Evelyn had merely watched as each patient reacted to the procedure in their own way, but took notice once Lotus began to stop moving. Kicking out of her chair, Evelyn made her way to the table and looked over the now still body below her. She checked her watch and visited her counter, writing something on a sheet of paper before grabbing a kit with a needle. Her actions now operated in autopilot as she followed through with her practice and immediately took a large blood sample from Lotus' body mere seconds after its 'passing.' She capped the sample quickly and stored it in the room's freezer, and quickly turned to Oliver as he was recovering. He had hardly damaged the floor, as it was hard stone, and the small marks he did leave behind could be fixed with just a little bit of sanding. Regardless, Evelyn considered it a non-issue, and instead walked up to him with similar utensils to take a sample of blood from him as well.   "Oh, don't you worry about the floor, other patients of mine have done far worse, and they never pay a dime. The only favor in return I ask of you this night is a sample of your blood now that the process is complete. I like to study the procedure's effects, and each sample helps me understand more clearly." It was almost a little creepy how quickly Evelyn had nonchalantly treated the body on her table, but Oliver could maybe tell it was now a corpse given his circumstances.

Oliver Lobelia

He pays little attention to the body, instead focusing on her request. "I have no issue with that, take as much as you need." he says, readjusting his tie before rolling up one of his sleeves. "Though I must insist on also leaving you with a sufficient amount of money to cover any costs. I prefer to pay my debts in full."

Evelyn Bondrew

Having received consent, Evelyn moved in and drew a healthy portion of Oliver's blood, making sure not to draw too much. She knew that it would be replenished due to the recent procedure anyway, but it was courtesy at this point. She would have a soft look in her eyes, as she was now just trying to finish his appointment so she could figure how best to handle Lotus' body on the table. It wasn't every day a patient of hers dropped dead in a room, but it was certainly an outcome she was prepared for. "No really, there is no need for a payment in cash- please consider your blood as its own payment. I would consider your debt paid in full if you just made sure to keep my clinic in mind for any future use, as I am always looking to help anyone who may need it." The direct tone Evelyn once had had softened now, but it had noticeably not returned to the expression she carried upon their arrival. After taking his blood, Evelyn's blood would use its small lingering effect to cover the wound, the quickly fading ability now appeased with Oliver's current condition. With that, Evelyn would place all of her tools back on the counter, a plan to clean them quickly forming in her mind as she returned to Oliver, the lack of mask now calling for a new name. "Now, how do you feel mister?"

Oliver Lobelia

"I will certainly keep this place in mind." His almost detached tone had nearly returned in full, the voice of someone who cared for very little in life, and yet there is more different about it than the lack of the robotic effect. His voice carries a hint of respect in it compared to before. He puts the sleeve back down once the wound is closed and then grabs his jacket, quickly slipping it back on. As he does, he notices more and more little things that no longer bothered him, movements that felt easier than they ever had before and aches that no longer ached. "I feel like I've never been injured in my life. If I was a religious man, I'd call it a miracle." Once he has his clothing in order again, he picks up the mask as well. I can probably repurpose this... Better than letting such expensive hardware go to waste. "My name is Oliver, by the way." he says after a moment. He didn't usually care if people knew his name or not but after what she had done for him Oliver saw this woman as more than just some stranger, she deserved to at least know his name.

Evelyn Bondrew

At Oliver's promise to keep it in mind, Evelyn would crack a small smile of gratitude- not that he could see it, but the smile remained when he answered her question of how he was holding up. She would keep an eye on him as he put on his jacket, visually inspecting the movements he was now making with newfound vigor. His dropping his name would slightly catch her off-guard, though she would only nod at it as she had done to many others before. She didn't like to get personal with her patients, but she never had a rule against learning their names. "Well, nice to meet you Oliver, I go by Dr. Daze while in my clinic- or just Doctor, if you are so inclined." Her tone would continue to retain its softness now that their procedure was finished, a small bit of excitement noticeable in her movements- though its source would not quite be understood by Oliver. She would now begin to move with him out of the operating room if he chose to follow, her opening the door a sign that her work was finished.

Oliver Lobelia

"A pleasure to meet you as well, Dr. Daze." he says in a way that implies he means it more literally than how the phrase is normally used. He quickly follows her as she begins walking, continuing the thought as they walked. "I must say, you've lived up to your reputation and far surpassed it. Though the method of the healing certainly caught me off guard... I'd like to know more about it, if possible, but something tells me I already know more than you would like me to." he says, his disappointment only slightly noticeable in his tone.

Evelyn Bondrew

As they walked, Evelyn would close and lock the door behind them before continuing down the hall alongside Oliver. She had not brought her cane with her this time, but whether or not Oliver would recognize that fact at this point would be up in the air. At his comment, she flashed a smile of gratitude at his words, but slightly turned to look at the man once he mentioned that last part. "You are not the first person to know my ability without my desiring it, but the extent to which you know it is not yet apparent to me. I personally do not care if patients learn of the nature of their procedure through the powers they possess, but I do take offense when they begin spreading that knowledge amongst the street. There are quite a few individuals who know of my situation, but I try to minimize that number as much as I can. You can imagine what lengths people will go to in order to secure that blood." The fact it was her blood was still hidden to Oliver, but he could probably connect the pieces together himself. Because that glue of evidence was missing, he would have to rely on speculation alone.   She would state this plainly as they continued walking, the lantern-light from before accompanying them once more. "Just know, there is a fragile balance between my patients and the addicts, as my price for the treatment is generally considered acceptable. As much as I wish this were not the case, there are a few stragglers from time to time- and as much as I enjoy them, I would rather them not become the majority of my clientele." She said this as they entered the reception hall, Oliver still given time to converse as they walked.

Oliver Lobelia

He smirked a bit at the mention of the word 'blood', his suspicions fully confirmed by the acknowledgement. He would ponder the source of the blood and it being hers would be the biggest consideration, but he couldn't rule out the possibility that it could come from another person, or even some strange creature. "We have a contract that is, until now, unspoken, Doctor." he states matter of fact. "Officially, you do not know me, and I do not know you or anything about this place beyond the fact that it is a clinic with excellent service. I have no intention of breaking that contract, now or ever. Though you mentioned studying the effects..." He pulls out a lighter and a pack of cigarettes, pulling one of them out of the pack and quickly lighting it before continuing. "If that's true, perhaps I can help from time to time. I've already chosen some less exotic addictions to occupy myself with so you need not worry about that, but due to circumstances outside my control I'll likely find myself with the need to come here again in the future. When I do, perhaps I can share the bits of information I garner from the process."

Evelyn Bondrew

Evelyn's interest was indeed piqued at his offer and statement, but his attempt at controlling the situation stuck out to her as well. She merely returned her gaze forward until he mentioned the study of its effects, her mind not skipping past what that could entail. The slightest of reaction left her, as Evelyn's eyes widened ever so slightly, enough so that Oliver wouldn't be able to pick up on it, but he could probably tell she cared for that part specifically more-so than the rest. Continuing to listen to Oliver, Evelyn softly chuckled at his comment regarding addictions, but enjoyed his dedication to her request more than she let on. "That sounds wonderful and thank you for your discretion- while it's insinuation may be negative, I do hope to see you again." Her tone was still soft, but her mask was still concealing her facial expressions. She continued slowly moving toward the reception desk "I would gladly accept any and all information you may have of your firsthand experience with the treatment, but I'm afraid the second trip is much milder than the first- unless you come in looking like a bloody stump that is." The comment's meaning would likely not be lost on the man, as Evelyn now rested halfway on the desk in the middle of the moderately-lit hall.

Oliver Lobelia

He follows along as they continue the talk, stopping on the other side of the desk for a moment to finish the conversation. "All that matters is the nature of the substance. Because it is what it is I'll be able to pull details simply from the act of consuming it. It will serve to sate my curiosity as I learn more and if it might help you to improve your craft then I have no issue with sharing that knowledge." His face was as calm as his voice, showing little expression as he speaks. He takes in another puff of smoke during a short pause, then speaks back up. "But I believe I've taken enough of your time." he says as he prepares to turn around and walk for the door.

Evelyn Bondrew

A casual nod would accompany his words as Oliver gave his closing remarks, Evelyn's hands already reaching for her phone- a few phone calls needing to be made regarding the body and the floor. As the man would presumably leave through the door, Evelyn would watch as he left, soon turning to return to the body laying on her table. Now alone with it in the clinic, Evelyn would put it in her freezer within OR 11, as she had recently made an order to have one capable of storing bodies installed. The story behind that one was certainly a tale for a rainy day, but she would need to look into the nature of Lotus' body- it wasn't every day a patient of hers died within minutes of beginning the procedure. She had her suspicions about the nature of the body, but her curiosity would have to wait for now, someone might come by and pick it up if her hunch was anything to go off of. When the room that was previously used was cleaned and sanitized, Evelyn would close the door and lock it- the dark within returning to fill the space until another injured soul would need use of it. As for Evelyn, she would activate her motion sensor at the doors and return to her study- the leather chair she frequented and a cold drink calling her name.
