Goblin Caves
About the Caves
The Goblin Caves consist of a series of subterranean tunnels and caverns that are situated on the Pink water, the river that runs down from Sylvanthair to Thrantium. Being a race that loves the damp and dark, these caves provide a home to the goblins local to the forest surrounding Qarton. It is unclear when the goblins first moved into these caves, but they have been harassing the inhabitants of Qarton ever since. In Our Story
In our tale, Jackob Aar, Knor Ti Knockarz, Larry Tinkle, Terry Tinkle and Vyth Aar headed to the goblin caves to free any villagers of Qarton imprisoned there. The villagers had been enchanted to wandering north in their sleep by a mysterious dream and although the bonk squad did not suspect the goblins of being responsible, Knor Ti and Terry's near capture by them while sleepwalking revealed that the goblins had been taking advantage of the comatose wanderers and kidnapping them. And so, our band of heroes entered into the cave system, fighting their way past several hordes of goblins, charming Blind Betsy, (the blind goblin guard who when charmed revealed the den where she obtained her pet direwolves from) and a couple of ogres. The entire system of caverns was filled with an assortment of pots, jars, crates and containers due to the obsession of their leader, the self-dubbed "Pot King", although other goblins seemed to have come to share this love of containers. They did discover a couple of imprisoned farmhands in the caves and Jackob's companion Sareth Vindar, who revealed that she had been captured whilst following the lotus compass to try and find more of the mysterious portals. Having freed her, the group then confronted the "Pot King" himself, who revealed that some "shroom gobbos" were the ones causing all the trouble and that they were further to the north. Defeating him, the group decided to return to the village and head north to find the source of the continuing disappearances of the wandering villagers of Qarton. As a result of Blind Betsy's advice, the group later journeyed to the direwolf den, where they cured many direwolves that had been negatively affected by the fey plants. Moreover, this was where they found Tittle, their future direwolf companion.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
