Fenton

Background and Role in Our Story

Fenton's background is somewhat blurry, though a few people that have met him agree that he was born in Hillhome in 601VD. Fenton has seemingly appeared in most cities and towns throughout Everon at one point or another, his reputation as a bard preceding him to the ears of the highest powers in the land. Rumours abound through the land about Fenton: a lascivious night with a princess, only to be chased out of a castle by her irate father; an inebriated incident involving two succubi and a dragon; playing a song that charmed a murderous hag into submission; a selection of novels attributed to him that are all based on real court gossip but with names anonymized. 
Fenton wanders the lands of Everon, accompanied by his trusty two headed lute and a nose for interesting people. 
The party first encountered Fenton in Ferrytown, where he was compering a night of gambling and fighting underneath the Water Rat Inn. During the night, Fenton befriended Knor Ti Knockarz, plying her and himself with copious drinks and composing a melody for both her and Vyth during their fights. 
Then, the group spotted Fenton performing at Count Merillion's ball, the Count having heard that he was in town and inviting him to play. Fenton advised the group to keep an eye on Lord Surian, as he was acting strange, which encouraged Jackob to follow him and eavesdrop on a suspicious conversation he had.

Appearance

Fenton's face is ever-coloured by a jaunty grin beneath the mop of curly black hair on his head. With his two-headed lute strapped across his back and his notorious bard get up, his brown eyes cause ladies to swoon at every court in the land.

Likes and Dislikes

Fenton likes music, parties, drinking and anything that is interesting and out of the ordinary. Gossip and music sustain Fenton.
Fenton dislikes staying in one place for too long.

Personality quirks

Fenton will find people and spend a night with them, but disappear in the morning. Holding onto him for any length of time is like trying to grab thin air, he comes and goes as he pleases, leaving only whispers in his wake.
