Ganado
"We lived here long before there was even a dream of a city. Me and the other lads. Those were good days, mine all day, sleep a while, and then get back to mining again. A little bit later we build our first forge, and boy was that beginning of something we never considered. Folks from far and close started to love our stuff, and very soon we were swarming with people. And then we thougt eh, how difficult can it be to rule a city. How naive we all where back then."

Public Agenda
Ganado is the northernmost city-state of Marghuin. Their goal has from the very beginning been the amassing of wealth to the residents. Nowadays citizens are also united with their hatred towards monstrous creatures, that are constantly bothering borders of the city-state.
Assets
Whole city of Ganado is built around the mines that are constantly getting deeper and deeper to mountains to find lightstones. These lightstones have brought great wealth to city-state. Also other minerals are mined from the surrounding hills.
History
Ganado is the oldest of current city-states. It was established in year 267 of 12th Millenia by small clan of dwarves. Mountainous area around Ganado are plentiful in many kinds of minerals, but it was large founding of lightstones what finally gave birth to larger settlement amongst the harsh mountains.
Demography and Population
Most of the citizens of Ganado live in the city itself. Some smaller communities owned by the city-state have been built in the surrounding areas, especially to the lowlands of the east where most of the food of the city is produced. The city-state has a great numbers of dwarves and gnomes in its population.
Military
Ganado is always under pressure of attacks from monstrous races and tribes of the surrounding mountains. The wealth is attracting much unwanted attention to the city. Against these threats Ganado has amassed a large army, and is actively recruiting able warriors and fighters to defend its borders. The Ganadoan military is also conducting co-operations with the Knights of Trueblade in order to protect its borders.
Religion
Main deity and official protector of Ganado is Drummur the Smith, and his high temple is located in the heart of Ganado. Other largely worshipped deities are Fatemaster Daianai, Maruna the Warm Hearth and Faenru the Prosperous.
Foreign Relations
Ganado is big producer of minerals, metals and especially lightstones. Althought most of the production and export are owned and managed by Darksbane corporation, most of the city-states of Marghuin are dependant on Ganado for these goods. Ganado is open to all traders, but they refuse to trade with residents of Disoen. They also have somewhat problematic relations with Harigas due to heavy taxation practised in valleys of Calacan range.
Agriculture & Industry
Ganado is the main industrial power when it comes to mining and refining metals, ores and lightstones. Historically they have been totally dependant on other products, but recently new pastures and meadows have been cultivated for food production. Nowadays Ganado is almost self-sufficient for food.
Trade & Transport
Most of the goods are traded from Ganado to other parts of the world by Great Road. There are also small harbors in the shores of the Sea of Shadow. Naval transport of the goods has increased recently, and more havens are built with better infrastrucute to acommodate the increase.
Education
There are few pretidigious academies and schools in Ganado, but most citizens of Ganado receive no education other than that to mining or industrial work.
