Demographics
Large part of the citizens are dwarves and gnomes, but almost every race is present in the city. This of course does not include monstrous races like orcs, kobolds, goblins and the like. There are few known half-orc citizens, but these individuals try their best not to be connected to their more shunned ancestors.
Government
City of Ganado is governed by bureucrats under command of Baranik Darksbane, the last survivor of the Darksbane clan. He is the sole ruler of the city.
Defences
High walls surround the small part of the Ganado that can be found on the surface. These walls are guarded by heavy defences of seasoned warriors.
Industry & Trade
The mining industry is the most important benefactor of the city. Almost everyone is somehow connected to it.
Infrastructure
City of Ganado is built mostly underground. Only a small portion of the city is on the surface. The city is layered in many layers the most riches parts being in the top of the city close to the surface, and industrial areas and mines are located in the lower levels. Most of the water used in the city is taken from underwater rivers which have been bult to go around the city ending in the large underground lake in the bottom layer of the city. Most of the sewage of the city is gathered, dried and burned in the furnaces to feed the flames. Long chimneys are built to go through the hole city to the surface.
Guilds and Factions
City of Ganado is full of smaller guilds of various traders and crafters. Each of these guilds must receive permission from the goverment, and their actions are closely inspected. Ganado is also the home for Darksbane corporation, which is not considered to be one of the guilds.
History
Before its founding the area now known as Ganado was a home to small dwarven clan of Darskbane. Their foundings of lightstones and revelations in its refining brought many interested traders and adventurers to the area and to keep the things in hand the dwarves founded the city of Ganado. This City grew and is nowadays a capital of city-state of Ganado, which spreads to the surrounding mountains and lowlands. Ganado has always been ruled by members of Darksbane clan.
Architecture
The architecture of Ganado is mostly utilitarian. Not much effort has been used to most of the city. Buildings are carved straight to the mountain walls.
Natural Resources
Mountains where Ganado has been built are rich in minerals and especially lightstones.
