Baranik is an old and frail dwarf. His hair and beard are all white and thin, and his bones are brittle and weak.

Personal history

Baranik Darksbane is the youngest member of the Darksbane clan and only one still alive. He was born before the foundation of the Ganado and even before the Darksbane clan made their breakthrough with lightstone refinement.
He was mortally wounded in the orc raid at the Darksbane household which led to the death of last female members of the clan. After couple of years of healing he was able to return to mining.
Baranik was one of the driving forces when it came to founding of Ganado. He was never a smith but more a governer, who oversee the Darksbane clan mines before the breakthrough. Once the city was established he took the more formal part in the goverment as the face of the original clan. Years passed by and one by one the other members of the clan passed away, but Baranik still lives on. At the moment he is by far the oldest known dwarf ever on Evernight.

Baranik received the common education of the Darksbane clan including everything considering mining and smithcraft.

Baranik has never been known to worship any of the gods personally. City of Ganado has a great influence by worshippers of Drummur the Smith, and Baranik has always taken part in the holy rites of the Smith, but he has made very clear that he has no masters, no mortal nor divine.
