The Amazwe Savanna

A stretch of grassland amid a sea of sand and rock, the Amazwe savanna is widely considered to be one of the least inhabitable areas of the continent.

Geography

A seemingly endless plain of waving grasses and scattered copses of trees, the Amazwe is dotted with small pools of mineral-rich water that appear in strange colors. These pools are rare, but a defining feature, and often the location of a village. Occasional red plateaus stand looking over the small patches of eucalyptus and boab trees.

Fauna & Flora

The savanna is full of diverse and interesting plants an animals. It is most known for the ten thousand species of succulent that grow only there, but it is also home to plenty of plants that grow nowhere else, including eucalyptus, boab, fever trees, quiver trees, dragon blood trees, brittlebush, joshua trees, and cholla cacti.      Unique creatures include elephants, kangaroo, emperor cobra, jackelopes, and steppe wyverns.

Natural Resources

Aside from unique wood and the products of such trees, the Amazwe is known for producing specific drugs, ivory, electrum, rubber, and a plethora of spices.
