Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Reverend is a Flame-Bringer of Tolaris Foc and has been granted partial immortality by the Hallowed Flame. He heals abnormally quickly and has long since surpassed human limits in his physicality. It is said that, as he is the greatest among the Flame-Bringers, that Tolaris Foc granted him one more gift above the others. Word had spread about his rumoured demise some time ago, just before he returned from his expedition into the Valley of the Gods, that he did, in fact, make it into the Valley and escaped with his mind intact. Something was apparently different about him when he returned, however, and those who welcomed his lonely return claimed they could hear his heart beating like a thunderous pounding in his chest before they heard his footsteps.

Malachi earned a name of infamy when he declined the opportunity to participate in the battle for the title of High Prelan. He, instead, remained in his position as the highest among the Flame-Bringers and acts as the most feared priest within the Holy Walls of Soddorash. He patrols the Grand Palace district and provides the people with the teachings of Tolaris Foc from his Cathedral.

While he may not be as adept at reading people as the Steel Inquisitors, he is a terrifying combatant. It is said that the current High Prelan, Athanasius Dionysius, claims he would lose to the reverend with ease if they were to duel. Additionally, the preacher is said to be able to recite any passage from The Scorched Tome flawlessly. While this is not unheard of, in fact, it can be quite common among the fervent believers, Malachi has a way with the Holy Words. According to rumour, as he speaks the scripture comes to life in his voice and brings the teachings of the verses unto reality.

Malachi is, unsurprisingly, a devout of Tolaris Foc. He has given himself entirely to the faith of the Hallowed Flame and his servitude to the Lord has not gone unnoticed by those who live in the Theocracy. He believes that the scriptures are absolute and that any who do not follow their teachings in every facet of their lives are false believers. While he may not act upon this judgement with violence, his Cathedral has become a rather elite place of prayer as only those who breathe with the scriptures in mind are granted entrance.
