"Don't go in the subway. We opened them at the order of Sylvan, and these..." A lull in his words. "These demons killed Jim and Jaya. chopped off their legs and laid them outside to bleed in the night. Every time we went out to try and get them, we took losses. When we stopped trying, they snatched them away and tortured them. Let their screams keep us up all night."

Even over the comms, Briggs' words weighed heavy in the air. "Joseph couldn't handle it, he bloomed... Right on his bed. Turned into this monster, bastard split Todd in half, and we didn't even get a chance to recover before those fucking devils bashed through the airlock and started slaughtering us. I only made it out cause I managed to hide in the showers."

"And even then, I lost my arm trying to drag the commander back. Lopped off at the shoulder." He drew in a deep breath over the microphone, shakey and weak. "I'm dead, don't try to come back for me. Please."
