Humans alone may create Projections. The Somnolent was the first to discover the ability almost 2 millenia ago, but Humans may teach it to each other. Projections are extensions of the Caster's soul which remain anchored to through any physical distance and obstacle, so long as the Caster remains alive and with Soul.
The strength of the Hypnagogic Order of Sol is in Projections. In the ValuSelu Pact they are closely tracked and regulated.
The Sazashi have the internal compass of their ah'hei.
The Verin have the fading journals of their past lives.
The Humans have no such intrinsic guides.Instead, we are born with the means to explore unharmed, to find and forge a path all our own.
Appearance
The shape of a Projection is drawn from the shape of its Caster's Soul, and appears in reference of the Caster's self-perception. An inconsistent mind creates varied projections, while a consistent creates consistent projections. In either case, the shape reveals how the caster sees themself.
Attributes
Unlike their Caster in the Material Plane, Projections exist within the Astral Plane, and see through Scrying. They do not posess any organic sensory organs.
Fortunately, Projections do not need to concentrate to Scry. Instead, they are simultaneously Scrying on every facet of the Astral plane which the Caster is capable of Scrying on, to an effective radius of 3 Spaces.
Default Attributes
Sense - Sound: They cannot detect vibrations or air movement
Sense - Tactile: They cannot detect thermals, vibration, or texture
Sense - Sight: They do not see print, light, engravings, or texture
Sense - Auric: They see people as Soul-saturated impression of their physical shape
Mobility: They operate as if in Low Gravity, leaping and pushing off of surfaces
Interaction: They may take Partial Actions on physical subjects
Coherance: If the Caster dies, the Projection becomes a Poltergeist
Cargo: They may carry Gear of 1 Enc or Less, but it is fully effected by gravity
Abilities: They gain access to the Caster's abilities
Additional Capabilities
Casters may cast through their Projections by proxy, provided that Spell Level doesn't exceed the Projection's Level.
For example, a L3 Projection cannot cast a L4 Energy spell without first having its level enhanced to L4 via Meta Enhance spell.
Due to existing in the Astral Realm, Projections may cast L1 spells for 0 Soul as a Partial action within a 3 Space radius.
Abilities
Any Human may only learn these Meditations by training under someone who knows them already, or through collecting the related series of Sommes.
Tulpa: You surrender control of inactive Projections to your subconscious. They may now do menial tasks without your direct attention.
Hypnagogic: You may control your Projections even while your physical body is asleep, comatose, or dead. Skills are Halved in this state.
