Guil has been a loyal friend to Crow since they met as youth in Gorshi. While Crow had a more comfortable living as the Doctor's son, Guil grew up in the streets as an Orphan.
It wasn't until the death of Crow's parents that Guil was invited to live in the Tower with Crow.
He needed someone to talk to, Guil needed a roof over his head, and they both needed a friend.
As Guil ventures with the Trundler and Crow grows out of his shell, they still spend much of their time together. The strongest bonds are forged in despair after all.

Crow brought Guil with him over with him to Nashu. They had to crane their necks back just to look up at the helmet of the armored Sazashi. It was intimidating, to say the least.
Crow whispered to Guil, who relayed his message.
"Sorry, he doesn't talk. I usually relate for him. He's asking how your wound is coming along." Guil's smile wasn't pretty, but it was warm.
"Sellinus' guests!" Guil said, inclining his head in greeting. "Have you brought word from him?" His confusion was evident. His gaze flicked to the sky.
"Ah, no. We're here on our own business." She smiled pulling a small container from her bag. "I wanted to apologize to you and Crow for dinner. I brought a peace offering. Do you mind if we come in?" Eyes darted to the gate and back. "We've been told we're past curfew."
"Apologize?" He looked between the container and the trio, then leaned out of the door-frame to glance around. "You come alone? What business?"
"Just that, and to ask Crow if he would mind checking on the member of our crew that was injured. None of us are suited for long term care, and I worry that he won't be able to walk again.
We mean no harm, and do indeed come alone." She offered him the container. "It's dessert from dinner. Pudding."
"Ooooh lovely," Guil said, opening the door and ushering them in with a quick sweep of his hand. "I was eyeing that before we had to rush out of there. Please, come in. Want anything? I've just put some tea on, nothing like what Sellinus has but it'll keep you warm."
He closed the door behind them, shutting out the growing cold.
