The Broken Vial
The Broken Vial is an apothecary/alchemy shop in Malmos. Newly opened after the war, it sits as a quaint and small little shop on the street corner of the Merchant's District and is often seen to be overflowing with brightly coloured smoke which pours from the open windows, with a variety of good, bad and concerning scents.
Purpose / Function
The providing of potions, salves, balms and ointments, as well as the ingredients for those wanting to homebrew such things themselves.
Architecture
The Broken Vial is a small one story building built from traditional white stone with a half gable rooftop and exposed oak beams. There are a series of large rectangular windows with diamond cut style glass that have small openable attachments at the top, often seen to be emitting brightly coloured smokes.
The interior is quite cramped with hanging racks of drying herbs and flowers; as well as overflowing shelves and display cases of lotions; potions and everything else possibly imaginable for a store of this kind. The simple oak flooring is barely visible beneath an excessive number of vibrantly patterned rugs and the walls are decorated with large displays of what seems to be a butterfly collection.
History
The Broken Vial was previously one of the stalls set up in the Merchant District to kickstart trade in Malmos after the war, and after some success, the owner of the establishment (Eigelle Cedarshadow) was able to get one of the new builds to set up shop properly.
