Grantech
Structure
The president of the company is at the head, and below him are the vice presidents of each department: the Department of Science and the Department of Security. The president makes all the big decisions, and he has veto power over the decisions of the vice presidents.
Vice presidents make all the big decisions within their departments, but they ideally all contribute to the president's goal for the company and they all cross the president's desk for approval before going through. In an ideal situation, at least.
In the Department of Science, scientists are the highest-ranking officers below the VP. They're given some amount of freedom with their experiments, and almost endless resources.
In the Department of Security, the highest title beneath VP is that of Shadow. These are responsible for seeking out and acquiring test subjects for the Department of Science. The Department of Security replaces the entire police force across the country, so the hierarchy is basically the same as that of the police.
Public Agenda
Grantech's public agenda is to make life safer and easier for the citizens of Concordia. They promise endless safety and peace to the people, and they do their very best to uphold that promise. They also promise to make mankind better by augmenting humans with mechanical parts and/or altered genetic code enabling them to acquire superhuman abilities.
Assets
Technology (computers, holo-devices, androids, etc.), medicines, vaccines, viruses, guns, experimental weapons, highly secure buildings across Concordia, highly secure experimental bases in formerly-Canada, the entire police force, Genetic Deviants, Shadows.
History
Begun in 2155 by Sebastian Grant, Grantech marked the beginning of Concordia's Gold Era. When Sebastian died in 2217, Grantech passed to his nephew Daniel, who added pharmaceuticals to their list of products. When he died in 2266, Daniel's son Isaac took over and Grantech, which had been a great help in rebuilding Concordia's technological infrastructure, began to grow in political power. Isaac was good friends with Concordia's 33rd president, Christopher Anderson, and the two of them formed an official partnership between the Concordian government and Grantech. That's when things began to go downhill.
Grantech didn't overstep its bounds terribly until c. 2415, at the beginning of the Titanium Era, when Alem Johnson became president and gave the green light to experiments to make superhumans, which Grantech had been barely dipping its toes into before. After the official go-ahead, things spiraled way downhill and Grantech began experimenting deeply in genetic alterations. This was also the era in which Grantech and the police force merged into one and Grantech became the main law enforcement agency of Concordia.
