In 1436 AG, The Tatlo War on the Pelago Islands began when no marquis or marquess was chosen by The Silent Bell, at The Investitt, held after Edric Quinal died.

Ceremony

The triplets, Rhonic, Elviaana and Garithan, stood in their allocated spots. All three stood calm and respectfully, wearing the ceremonial garments. They were waiting for the Silent Bell chime for one of them. They waited and waited and waited. It did not ring at all.
They accused each other of tamoering with the bell.
They would have accepted the choice of The Silent Bell, but when it did not ring, they returned to their competitive ways. They each felt cheated.

Marquis Locum Tenens

The current Marquis Locum Tenens Idrissee Crane was pleased to remain in power for the time being.
Through Cloveinmir staying at The Nest, Idrissee Crane learnt of the youngest child of Edric Quinal and Jassamine. He told none of the triplets, instead suggested to Cloveinmir that finding that child might bring Jassamine to Cloveinmir.
