Gaytish
An androgynous race lean in stature, native to the giant forests of the east, created by Gayt the first era. Their innate connection to the land allows them to easily tap into the Wyr that permeates the earth thus granting them an affinity for spellcraft and the ability to commune with beings of The Gaytwood and beyond. This natural instinct reflects in their society, peaceful tribal communities and close families make leaving their homes amongst shady glades a somewhat unwelcome prospect. Almost driven to extinction in 3E after their birthpools were stilled - pools of Wyr where the bodies of the dead were born again as new individuals, the rite of metamorphosis grants select individuals psycho-reproductive powers, the ability to form mental unions (also with other races) to conceive infants that grow inside their bellies just as the other races of man, but only esteemed members of societies are chosen by shamans to be parents. Laww | Lawmakers, judges, police. Arbor | Treesingers, barkitechts. Ynt | Lorekeepers, historians. Gaya | Teachers, doctors, shamans. Tyr | Wildspeakers, faunfriends. Cuis | Harvesters, foragers, cooks. Phae | Wyrweavers, spellcrafters. Mbir | Musicians, bards, entertainers.
