It is unknown exactly how the planes of existence coalesced all those aeons ago, or what set one apart from the rest. It is thought that many such planes exist within the body of a great celestial serpent. Interplanar beings of great power were drawn to this single plane in particular. Erthwyr.
Whether harmoniously or otherwise, these beings congregated at its centre, combining their powers to forge the Founder Stones, pouring much of their energy therein. It was with these tools that The Founders began to create physical matter and mould it according to their wills, creating the seas and the sky, the lowlands and the high, the flora and fauna, and the peoples to live and to die. Erthwyr as the common folk understand it, is the central continent of a world created by The Founders, its history measurable by ages. Founder Stones are the conduits between the Deities and Demongods and physical matter. People, places and things are thus suffused with their essence known as Wyr.
