The Gaytwood

The Gaytwood is a vast expanse of forest in the east of Erthwyr. Accented by giant defence pylons of first era archetecture and giant Bloomspore Trees. Many Gaytish settlements are sung by Arborists out of the trees themselves. Great branches of mighty trees support large treehouses, home to multiple families, living in sporadic tribal communities across the vast forest. Wyr channels, subterranean continental ley lines of magical energies converge in sacred sites - birthpools presided by shamans that were stilled during Aldars conquest. Wyr lanterns of all colours illuminate winding paths of paved stone amidst gnarled twisted roots of trees, their thick canopies looming above. Sil Itri, the old capitol lies in Western weald, scarred by Aldar’ conquest, great swathes of the gaytwood reduced to ruin. New Gaytia the last refuge lies closer to the Eastwood Veil, where mountains meet forest, the barrier to the east.
