Iados' Tower

The Tower of Iados that lays on the edge of the Southern Wall of Crook Crag. It appears like all of the rest of the guard towers except this one is taller and there are gargoyles at the great iron door of the tower.   The first chamber is a small chamber with a few plush couches sitting around a roaring fire pit. A staircase of marble sits behind it. This is where Iados greets any guests that come to his tower; preferring to keep the rest of the tower only for himself and his close confidants.

Purpose / Function

When the tower was originally built, it was part of the defensive wall that lies around Crook Crag. It still very much serves that purpose but also as a home for the wizard Iados.

History

After the towers construction it served merely as a defensive structure. After a few years, a wizard by the name of Falcarrin approached The Table while seeking refuge from the Isle Of Mystrium. He was a necromancer and was seeking a place to live. In exchange for working with the Illuthar and defending the city, he could have the tower as his own.   He lived in the tower until the year 403, when Iados came to the city.
