Council of Clan Elders
The Council of Clan Elders is a coalition of the all the dwarven clans who meet to aid the king in ruling the town of Bergen. They take care of most of the day to day business of the city, such as trade agreements with other realms. The nine strongest clans sit on the council, its membership has not changed since the founding of the council.

Nine clans sit on the Council, the most powerful of the dwarven clans. They all receive an equal vote on the matters that are presented to the Council.

To protect and serve the dwarves of Bergen.
Assets
All of the dwarven clans hold their own assets but the Council does have control over the standing army of dwarves. This is mostly made up of Shieldbearer Dwarves but all of the clans send soldiers for it.
History
When the Dwarves gained their independence from their human overlords, they followed their king, Da'run, but he soon realized he could not hope to rule an entire race by himself. He established the council of the clans who were instrumental in the dwarves gaining their freedom.
Foreign Relations
Currently the Dwarves do not have official foreign relationships with outside realms. Some dwarves do leave their homeland to venture out but it is rare. They have begun to have relations with Castle Sirather.
