The Proudbeard Clan

The clan that Bergen the Hero belonged to; when the war was over their current leader was offered the throne of Bergen. He declined it; instead choosing to become the spiritual leaders of the city. They manage the few chapels and try to build up the religions which have been neglected. It is their belief that the Greater Spirits will help the dwarves remain free and grow. So far, while the clan is respected, many dwarves do not pay heed to the Spirits.

Structure

The Clan Lord is the head of the family and his direct family line are the ones considered to be nobility. Cousins, distant relations, and other such people are known as Clan Blood. Dwarves of other linages can join the clan and are known as Clan Dwarves.

Public Agenda

Devoted to the worship of the Spirits, they are attempting to change the dwarven view on religion.

History

They are one of the oldest clans; not born at the beginning of the Mortal age but close. During the enslavement, they were the first to begin to rebel. Their leader, Bergen, was a strong fighter who received blessings from the Spirits in order to help defeat the invaders of Crook Crag.
