Bergen Settlement in Erthos | World Anvil

Bergen

The Dwarven town of Bergen is a place of law and order, but also intense xenophobia of other races. This is due to the dwarves being held as slaves for most of their lives.

Demographics

The entire populace is of the dwarven race.

Government

King Da'run rules the city but he is aided by the Council of Clan Elders, they both serve as a check and balance system against one another.

History

The Dwarves emerged from under the mountain in the beginning years of Erthos and formed the small settlement of La'ighlin but were soon discovered by the humans of Crook Crag. Due to the industrial nature the dwarves were efficient miners and crafters. The Humans used their superior numbers to enslave the dwarves and forced them to serve the humans for 250 years. Bergen was a clan leader who began the revolution, which was successful due to his knowledge of creation magic.

Natural Resources

Being near the mountains the town has an abundance of gems, raw ore, and stone.
