By decree of Aion, Mahuf Kam was appointed the first Cronian Guardian.

With the end of her life nearing and the depletion of most her powers, Aion needed to ensure the further existence of the Cronian Convention. Before the war, she originally wanted Mahuf Kam to succeed her as the next Lord of the Cycle but after she used the Cycle Chaos Fragment in the creation of the convetnion, this was no longer possible. So she did the next best thing creating the title of the Cronian Guardian and appointing Mahuf as its first holder.
