Rein Minhara

(a.k.a. "Apothecary")

Ever the cheerful and social one, Rein Minhara is a woman who acquired her abilities from a Ley Font at a younger age, and has thus kept her youthful appearance despite the accusation that she is using her own abilities to enhance herself in ways R.I.S.E. typically forbids. She is the preeminent expert on anything alchemical, from the creation of both helpful and harmful potions or poisons, to knowing just how certain elements react with others and allowing her to direct the evolution of science by assisting inventors with new ideas. She is the most active member of R.I.S.E. among all the empowered roster, traveling across Ourobos on a regular basis, and sometimes even to the other major continent of Lehrmaste, in order to offer her knowledge and skills to others with the intention of helping build a new, grand age of advancement.

Powers

Rein has acquired a vast array of untapped knowledge in the realm of alchemy, being gifted with an infallible understanding of the interactions between the various substances of the periodic table and how they can be exploited. This knowledge allows her to:

• Know the ingredients necessary to make elixirs, potions, tinctures, salves, powders, oils and more for just about any imaginable use someone could devise. This includes being able to craft things that could be considered magical by others, or even able to bestow temporary magical abilities.
• Understand the symptoms of any illness or toxin that is affecting another person so she can identify and correct the problem.
• Understand the science behind many of the chemical reactions or other effects from both organic and inorganic origins. This has allowed her to discover new forms of technology that she is trying to help other engineers in the world understand to better humanity’s daily lives.

Aside from the above, Rein has also acquired a set of eyes that now are capable of seeing in a spectrum of reality she doesn’t quite understand yet and is still learning how to use. With her eyes she can:

• Turn her vision into a form of microscope to assist her in identification of anything she is examining. This also allows her to have binocular vision when not hyper focused on one spot.
• Displace her consciousness in a form of temporal stasis near any object she is focusing on. She can view the surroundings of the spot she is looking at as if there.
