Jeslyn
A Lady and First Daughter next in line to the oldest line of First Daughters in Pelee. Her mother, Lady Lynja is the current First Daughter and head of the family. Jeslyn has the Gifts of Star Magic and Spirit Magic.
She is born shortly after Princess Azalee and they grow up doing everything together. Even though she is raised in the palace with the Queen's children and the other first daughters, her mother has still definitely managed to model a sense of privilege and anticipated acquiescence. This doesn't work on everyone, however, and Jes finds the constant, protective presence of Dayza to be an irritation; Jes is always looking for ways to shake her. There was also a bit of jealousy as Jes had to room in the children's wing of the palace with the other kids while Day had a bed in Azalee's suite.
After their Primary education, Jes was disappointed that she and Zaz had fewer classes together, but it balanced out as that same year Dayza moved to the University residences. Jes has a hard time deciding what to do when she herself starts University as the princess has to remain living at the palace. And of course Jes was super pissed when Day found out before her what was going on with Azalee's existential crisis. That being said, Jeslyn is more than her jealousy and rule breaking. She is a caring individual, and she does have a good heart. She is also a powerful and well trained mage by the time she finishes school.

Jes is a good person; she has a good heart, but she was raised to believe that she was better and smarter than everyone else, especially men. She isn't malicious about it; it can be frustrating how completely unaware of her own biases she is.
