The Mulitverse of Erellion

Erellion is a vast and complex multiverse, made up of countless planes of existence, each with their own unique properties and inhabitants. The multiverse is overseen by the gods, who watch over the various planes and their inhabitants, often intervening in their affairs or sending emissaries to act on their behalf.   The planes of Erellion can be broadly categorized into several groups, each with its own distinct characteristics. The Material Plane is the plane that most mortal beings inhabit, and it is home to a variety of landscapes, climates, and civilizations. Other planes include the Elemental Planes or the Inner Planes of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, which are composed entirely of their respective element, and the Outer Planes, which are aligned with various moral or ethical concepts, such as Good, Evil, Law, and Chaos.   Travel between these planes is possible through various means, such as planar gates or powerful spells, and many beings have made a career out of exploring the multiverse and the secrets it holds. However, each plane has its own dangers and challenges, and those who are unprepared or unwary may find themselves quickly overwhelmed. Despite the many planes of Erellion being vastly different from one another, there are also many similarities and connections between them. For example, some beings are able to traverse the multiverse freely and are known as planar beings. There are also artifacts and entities that exist across multiple planes, such as the Crown of Teeth or the demon blue dragon Erdunayt. These connections and overlaps make the multiverse of Erellion a rich and diverse setting for adventurers and storytellers alike.

The Prime Material plane

The Prime Material Plane of Erellion is a vast and diverse world, filled with a wide variety of landscapes, creatures, and civilizations. It is the center of the multiverse, where the other planes intersect and overlap. The Prime Material Plane is home to many different types of beings, from mortal races such as humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs, to powerful creatures such as dragons, giants, and beholders.   The terrain of the Prime Material Plane varies greatly, from dense forests to barren deserts, from frigid tundras to steamy jungles, and from soaring mountains to rolling plains. Each region has its own unique ecosystem and inhabitants, making travel and exploration an exciting and unpredictable adventure.   Civilization on the Prime Material Plane is diverse, with many cultures and societies developing in different parts of the world. There are bustling cities filled with people of all races, as well as isolated villages hidden deep in the wilderness. Magic is prevalent in many societies, with wizards, sorcerers, and other practitioners of the arcane arts practicing their craft openly or in secret. Overall, the Prime Material Plane is a rich and vibrant world, full of wonders and dangers, waiting to be explored and discovered.

Echoes of the Material Plane

The echoes of the Material Plane are the Feywild and Shadowfell planes. Both of these are echoes in the sense that they have roughly the same geographical layout as the Material Plane, but they are skewed in different ways.

Feywild

The Feywild mirrors the Material Plane but makes all of its aspects bright, vibrant, and otherworldly realm, filled with magical creatures and natural wonders. The Feywild is ruled by powerful archfey and is a place of wild magic, where the laws of physics and reality are sometimes altered. It is closely tied to the natural world, and is often depicted as a reflection or mirror image of the Prime Material Plane. The Feywild is home to many creatures such as pixies, satyrs, unicorns, and other fey creatures, and is often associated with themes of beauty, whimsy, and enchantment. However, it is also a place of danger and capriciousness, where travelers may find themselves lost in a maze of illusions or trapped in a realm ruled by a vengeful faerie queen.

Shadowfell

Shadowfell, also known as the Plane of Shadow, is a dark and gloomy reflection of the Prime Material Plane. It is a place where shadows are deeper, darkness is thicker, and everything is touched by an aura of despair. The creatures that inhabit this plane are often twisted versions of their counterparts on the Prime Material Plane, and it is said that those who spend too much time in Shadowfell may become just as twisted and dark as the plane itself. Shadowfell is often associated with death and the undead.

Inner Planes

The inner planes consist of four realms that directly interact with the material plane of existence. These realms exist in the Ethereal Fog. Titian is the plane of water and home to aquatic life of all shapes and sizes, its surface is made completely of water. Arion is the plane of air and the birthplace of song and music, creatures of flight make their home here. The Moon is the plane of Earth and is covered in hard rough terrain, many dwarves and earth elementals make their home here. Lastly there is the Sun a place of pure heat and fire, where salamanders and other creatures of the flame call home.

The Outer Planes

Outer Planes is a collective term used to describe a subset of the known planes of existence that lay beyond the material plane. These planes are separated by the The Astral Sea . The placement of the planes is best illustrated in the Great Wheel, on this wheel the planes are divided into the upper and the lower planes then again divided by order of alignment. These planes are often home to the various Gods worshiped on the Material plane and thus the planes reflect the Gods that inhabited them. Mortals who perished and have allowed their souls to travel upon the Astral sea arrive at one of these planes and become known as partitioners. The Silver Gates a place of purity where even such concepts as night and day or the different types of weather are never in conflict. Cloud a realm made up of clouds where angles soar through the air. Heavenly Peaks representing balance and hope. Arcadia a heavenly plane filled with life and joy. Beastlands the embodiment of nature’s beauty. Nimbus Forest the home of many elven deities, this plane values strong emotions, be they rage, joy, or anything in between. Oblivion is a place of eternal battle where the mightiest heroes go to test their might. Limbo a world of pure chaos and thoughts rule the form of this nightmarish plane. Pandemonium those who travel here will surely be driven mad by the extreme weather, noise, and darkness that rule it. The Abyss The many-layered home of demons. Each layer represents a different vile aspect of reality. The Burning Ocean an unforgiving sea of lava that serves as a prison plane that is home to traitors, backstabbers, and the like. Inferno a fiery plane that collects the souls of those not wanted by the celestials of the Upper Planes or the fiends of the other Lower Planes. Undying Cinder is home of the yugoloths, the most neutral of the fiendish races. A merciless plane that is also the birthplace of greed. The Pit , archdevils watch over a pit that holds their claimed souls. This is home to possibly the cruelest deeds, as it is the embodiment of lawful evil. Savage Fields a plane of war that pits fiends against angels in a never-ending struggle, And Gear which is home to the modrons, the clockwork plane is likely the only place in the multiverse where perfect order prevails.
