The Burning Ocean

The Burning Ocean is a plane of punishment and suffering, where those who have betrayed others or acted against their own kind are punished. It is a vast sea of lava with small islands scattered throughout, each containing a different punishment or torment for the inhabitants. The plane is ruled by a powerful devil named Kog'thath , who delights in the suffering of his charges and uses them as pawns in his schemes. It is a bleak and inhospitable place, with little hope for redemption or escape. The demon ships of the Burning Ocean are said to be the most terrifying vessels in all the planes of existence. The ships are made of obsidian and are constantly aflame with molten lava, serving as a constant reminder of the agony and torment that awaits those who dare cross the demons. The demons who man these ships revel in the pain and suffering they inflict upon their prisoners, taking great pleasure in breaking their wills and bending them to their own dark purposes. Some say that the screams of the tortured souls on board these vessels can be heard for miles around, a warning to all who would dare to challenge the power of the demons.
