Abyss

The Abyss is a place of constant warfare and corruption, where demons scheme and plot against one another and against any who might threaten their power. The landscape is horrific, with twisted and corrupted versions of natural features such as mountains, rivers, and forests. The demons themselves are also incredibly varied, ranging from small, impish creatures to massive, terrifying monstrosities. They are united only in their hatred of all other life and their desire to cause as much suffering and destruction as possible. Despite its evil nature, the Abyss is often sought out by those who seek power or knowledge at any cost. The dark arts of demon summoning and binding are practiced by some, while others simply hope to plunder the wealth and knowledge hidden within the Abyss's layers. However, venturing into the Abyss is a perilous undertaking, and few who enter return unchanged, if they return at all.
