The First

The legends of the Lizardmen are quite clear that Swss created them and the Kobolds and the Dragons and that those species dwelt on Erdde long before the coming of even the Old Gods. However, the Lizardmen's oldest, darkest tales say that long before Swss created the Lizardmen, Kobolds and Dragons, that she created an older race. The Lizardmen call these people 'The First'.
These legends tell how Swss created land for the First, and for ages of Erdde, they ruled the world and worshipped Swss. But then something happened to turn the First away from their creator and towards insanity and the worship of false gods. Swss destroyed her creations (although the tales that lizardmen tell to their hatchlings are full of stories of how some isolated population survived and one day will return to claim their world) and instead created first the Dragons, then the Lizardmen and the Kobolds.
