Lizardmen have a monotheistic religion. They worship Swss, the Serpent Who Gave Birth To The World.
Worshippers of Swss believe that Erdde was created by Swss, the great snake god, and that she also created not only lizardmen, but Dragons, Kobolds and perhaps the mysterious race known to the lizardmen only as The First.

The lizardmen believe that Swss laid five eggs - blue, yellow, white, brown and black. The blue egg is Erdde , the yellow is the Sun and the white is the Moon. The brown egg hatched and from it emerged the first two dragons. The black egg contained all that was evil. In some Lizardman legends, the black egg hatched and the evil inside was allowed to escape and infect the world. In other legends, Swss cast the black egg into the void.
