Dragons

Dragons are rare in Ettrea. They mostly confine themselves to isolated regions far from civilisation.
Dragons are thought to have been more common before the rise of the Old Empire.
The oldest creation myths of the Elves make no mention of dragons. While different races are identified as being created by particular Old Gods, no origin is given for the dragons. Yet dragons appear (usually as enemies, occasionally as allies) in some of the earliest elven romances.
