The door to The Deaf Hound opens with a creak and the party steps inside to a quaint but cozy tavern. There is soft light emitting from braziers in two corners of the room and gleaning before you to the right is a long polished wooden bar. A huge muscular half-orc is gently wiping glasses with a piece of cloth, and he gives a snaggle-toothed grin as you walk in. In a rumbling voice, he greets you …. “Welcome travelers! Have a seat! I was just about to put some more coal on the fire. Take a load off! And can I get you a glass? We've got the best selection of ales in all Matlock!”
