Personal history
Asche Thesselman grew up the only child of King Quincey of Alteria. She was groomed from an young age to be a ruler and early on developed a strong personality. Stubborn and hard but not cruel she does care about her people but she has a great pride in her heritage and strong feelings towards the Magocracy of Vestonia . Later in her father's rein she took the place as regent but she often had disputed about her father's attitude towards peace with Vestonia. With her father's death she quickly began to ramp up the war effort against Vestonia. It was also during this time that the Sozarian dwarves began their rebellion. So focused was Asche on the Vestonian armies that she did little to head the council of her northern dukes. As such it was under her rule that the colonies on the continent of Sozar were lost to the Sozarians. This loss greatly affected Asche and it marked a turning point in her life. Since that time She has lead Alteria through a time of heightened industrialization and many new weapons of war have been invented under her reign to be used against the Vestonians. Under Queen Asche, Alteria has prospered and its industry more focused than that of the reign of her father.
Education
While Queen Asche did attend the university of Highmark she had begun her schooling from a much earlier age. From around the age of six she has had private tutors in the many disciplines a future queen must need. She was taught diplomacy and war strategy as well as mathematics and the sciences. She took quite a liking and has a keen strategic mind for battles. After graduating from Highmark university she went on to attend the war college where she thrived.
Employment
Before becoming queen Asche still played a key role within the kingdom. During the final years of her father's reign lady Asche acted as his regent.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Despite early setbacks, Queen Asche's reign has seen many accomplishments. The first of which is the growing and improved infrastructure. Asche chose to have the kingdom focus on building infrastructure. New rail lines were put in and new steam engines were assembled in the various mines throughout the kingdom. This caused a massive surge in the ability of the kingdom to prepare for the Queen's coming war campaign with Vestonia.
After preparing for the first few years of her reign, Queen Asche led a short campaign against the Vestonians. She was able to take back many of the fortresses along the boarder that had been lost during both her father and grandfather's reigns. Her quick and strategic mind allowed her to win one battle where she personally led the armies. During the battle of Ancorridge Queen Asche was able to deftly outmaneuver the Vestonia commander and succeeded in taking one of the key fortresses from a much larger occupying force. As of now she has been able to hold these fortresses.
Failures & Embarrassments
Shortly after her coronation the Snow dwarves on the island of Sozar rebellion against the kingdom. Queen Asche refused to listen to her advisors and only sent a marginal force to suppress the rebellion. This had catastrophic repercussions as when the rebellion succeeded the Alterians lost their only source of Fjoream. Now the Alterians must buy Fjoream from the Sozarians rather than mine it themselves.
