The Eye of Idite

The Eye is Idite is a famed magical item that was worn by the ancient kings of Lorica and the first Emperors of the Loricanian Empire. The pendant was lost in the War of Peaks, when the Third Emperor of Loricanium, fell in an attack of the combined forces of Drow and Duegar in the valley of Bermuiaa during an ambush that led to the loss of the famed 82nd Legion.
The Eye of Idite is replicated in the current crown jewels of the emperor, however, the pendant is empty of gemstones, and instead has treated metal slugs in the place of the originals mystically imbued stones.
The stones are placed in concentric rings from a center ruby, outlined by a sapphire, and then an emerald, inset in gold and pearl. The replica follows this pattern in homage, cast in silver, with dark pearls and magically treated slugs of red, blue, and green gold forming the original's rings. The replica also lacks the magical effects of the legendary "Eye of Idite", and as opposed to being a symbol of power for the power it has, it is a symbol of power for show.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Eye of Idite is made of three carved Ioun stones:
Ruby : Intellect (Very Rare). Your Intelligence score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20
Emerald : Leadership (Very Rare). Your Charisma score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20
Sapphire : Fortitude (Very Rare). Your Constitution score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20

It's also rumored that the pearls at the terminals of the pendant chain are actually a fourth Ioun stone:
Regeneration (Legendary). You regain 15 hit points at the end of each hour, provided that you have at least 1 hit point.

Manufacturing process

The first time it was created in lore by the God Idite, however the stand in that is presently used was slaved over for weeks by the finest jewelcrafters in Lorica, only to be outdone by a wandering Eladrin who constructed and imbued the gold into its homage colors, causing the gold to appear as silver in the setting, and each of the rings to appear in it's stones color.

Significance

This "Eye of Idite" Pendant is said to have been given to the Emperor by Idite himself in recognition of his right to rule over Lorica. It's said to help the crown see into the souls of men and their intentions, as well as give him resilience, and strength in kind.
